CrossFire Support: No manual IGN changes

Attention Mercenaries,

Until further notice the CrossFire support team is no longer able to offer manual In Game Name changes.

If you are not able to use an IGN, it might have been used before. For the time being we cannot free IGNs from inactive players.

We are NOT removing the current name change item from the Item Shop.

However, please make sure that your IGN has a length of 2-12 alphanumeric characters plus - _ [ ] . and *
Any unsupported characters like "?" cannot not be used anymore.

In the meantime the team will investigate other options to make unused IGNs available, even if they were used before.

*Please also note that, for the time being the support team cannot change forum names or clan names, or free clan names.

Clan names with special characters are no longer supported and cannot be searched in game. Only clan names with a length of 3-12 alphanumeric characters plus - _ [ ] . and * are supported. If you want to search for a clan with unsupported characters in game, you will need to search by clan leader IGN.
