cannot join games

Even though the servers are back up, I have yet to be able to join any games. I thought the problem had to do with the fact that my account is new, but then I tried one of my older accounts, and that too, was booted out of the program in the middle of trying to load a game, following an error box that says "CROSS FIRE ERROR- Report error?"
Any ideas on why this keeps happening? Any help is greatly appreciated.
