Failed to load local version

Well, even with the latest client, I still get the "Failed to load local version" error when I press "START GAME".

Any suggestions?

same problem here. Havent played this game since 8-10 months
i downloaded CF downloader it downloads CF all files of 3.55GB and setup is of 1.64GB and there are some other files (strange cause i saw them for first time?)
I install game and when i press start it always gives fail to load local version
One more thing i wanna ask : Is the Desktop shortcut of crossfire changed to a black coloured icon with cf in it or its just me?

X-trap

I haven't play this game for a year,and something is wrong with my game.So when i play the game there's something coming out from my screen and it says X-TRAP on it.Can someone please tell me how to fix this thing or to remove it?.

I suggest a Fresh Install, using one of the Mirror Links!

Hi try to download my working version.ini file and replace this downloaded file with your ''not working version.ini file'' in the Z8Games directory. Click YES to replace this file.

I already made a fresh install, twice actually. Still no results

Thank you for trying, but unfortunetly the problems isn't coming from that version.ini file...

I've sent a support ticket since I get no "official" answer here, I'll give you their answer and advices once I get them. Thank you again
