Do you like sugar in your drinks?

It amazes me that sugar is legal for people under 18, or rather that it's used at all when there are less harmful substitutes.
No, I don't like sugar in my drinks. I take the artificial stuff.
Potential risks > Guaranteed risks
you dont eat sweets/chocolate ?
all of our food have sugar. but different quantity
Even a drink without sugar seems like it water ONLY o_O -

Children rarely consider actions and consequences, and are held liable the rest of their lives for the disgusting food their parents offer up like.. candy to a baby.
No, they don't. There are many types of sugars, they metabolize differently and are more or less harmful. Quantity, naturally. But also quality.
You can't compare gulping down a gallon of corn syrup-enriched Coca Cola to eating an apple, that also contains sugar.
Really, Coke Light, or milk, tastes like water? Apparently you're addicted, and I suggest you take a one-week break from sugars. -
Of course I do, though with extreme moderation. I'm an adult and exercise regularly.

i like: 10-20 gram of sugar per a cup
is that much!? -
cup of tea/coffe
actually i dont like any sugar in the milk
hmm . i dont like drink tea all the time, maybe 2 times a week
i gonna try your way ( 0 sugar )
Yes. I drink around 2 litres of tea a day (I use a Thermos flask). One in the morning, one in the night.. Most of the times its usually all I have for the day. I add sugar, but not a lot, I mean 2 spoons for 1 litre sounds okay to me. I used to have coffee, however I stopped since it causes a bug in me (constant adrenaline rush) so I stick with Tea or Green Tea. If you are going to try it without sugar, you will need to be doing this more than once to adapt to the taste, because its very tasteless but it is not too bad after a while. -
Sugar makes you only ill and fat!
I use only this: Stevia!
More infos here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevia
Plenty of less-unhealthy sugar substitutes around.
Should mark up anything with sugar/HFCS in it by like 20%, and use the tax to pay for diabeetus treatments and research. -
Yeeep, good stuff.

Taste-wise, what is it like? I've always stuck with silverspoon sugar. -

I usually take it in baked goods or buy products that have it as an additive, to avoid sugar.
Wouldn't gobble down a cup of it on its own, but then I wouldn't do that with sugar either.
It's basically sweet, but it's not sugar. -

I like to take it easy on the sugar, they tell me i'm sweet enoughSugar makes you only ill and fat!

My sister uses stevia. It's not bad- you need a lot more stevia though to make something as sweet as with regular sugar.
I never add sugar to my drinks, unless I'm adding sugar to freshly made lemonade. I drink my coffee black, put honey in my tea, take my Cokes regular, and drink water more than all of these combined. Everyone should drink at least a liter of water a day (that's about 2 standard water bottles). -
As you get older your tastes will change.Things without sugar will taste better.I gave up sugar years ago and do not miss it.If someone accidently puts sugar in my drink i cannot drink it as it tastes bad. I am 193 years old now and living proof that giving up sugar is good for you.

The problem is the substitutes. While a lot better than actual sugar, it still leaves you wanting that sweet feeling to everything you drink.
Best to go a few months on water/milk and you'll find that sugar wasn't that important.
Mind the headaches. -
Well.. You can wean yourself off sugar at 15 or 20 too, wasn't good at all when I tried it again after a year or so of minimal sugar intake (an apple once in a while, artificially sweetened recovery drinks equally rare).
Mind the headaches.
That is a ballsy move. I don't think I could ever give up my occasional Snickers. Then again, I tend to get migraines if my blood sugar dips.
