Failure to Connect to Server Fix

First a shout out to 'IKillU_Dist' for his/her helpful info! Thank You! :-)

Now, most of you have seen similar suggestions by posters or by an Admin., as stated by the quote below....
the solution is to change your ip address. You can do that by unplugging your router for 5-10 minutes or downloading hotspot shield and changing it through there. You may have to change it a couple times before it works.

Listen up people.... these people know their shtuff! lol Now, after trying a couple of their methods, nothing worked for me & the server problem continued. I have finally shaken my marbles loose, cleaned the peanut butter from my ears, & wiped the fog off of my seeing glasses & have now tried what I'm listing below, & IT WORKED! CF FRIGGIN WORKS AGAIN! Woohoo! LOL! Thank you everyone & thank you Google! lol :-P

Give this a try gang.... (It worked on my Windows 7 - 64-bit)

*How To Change Your IP Address*

1. Click Start->Run, type cmd and press Enter....

2. Type ipconfig /release at the prompt window, press Enter, it will release the current IP configuration. ...

3. Type ipconfig /renew at the prompt window, press Enter, wait for a while, the DHCP server will assign a new IP address for your computer.

Now CrossFire works again, I can go to any server, & I'm a happy man! lol :-D

Good Luck Gang,

Aaaargh! lol Sorry to hear/see RawThentic. I'm not sure what else to suggest. I had also tried a few of the suggestions being posted on here to no avail. After I Googled changing my IP using the cmd prompt, (it took a bit for my internet to come back on), I was able to start up CrossFire & was finally able to go into any of the servers & finally play the games. I was even able to get my Daily Mission done last night/early this morning. This after going through about a week or so of getting the "2nd step freeze/MM can't connect Server freeze" errors, then CF auto shut down. It was getting really frustrating after thinking there couldn't be any possible errors on my end. I was almost ready to give up & just wait out another CF update. Luckily I gave it a whirl & it worked for me.

I'll sure keep my ears/eyes open for more answers. If I get lucky or see anything good, I'll report back to here. Good luck my friend. :-)

Thanks for the suggestion m8 :p

Ive fix it lol, i dl cfeu and copied xtrap folder over as suggested from
    I have windows 7.

And yes, the HGWC folder is empty, and it should be empty.

The Crossfire folder should contain the hgwc.exe file

You can get this file from downloading and installing crossfire Europe.

Copy and paste the hgwc.exe from crossfire Europe to your normal CrossFire folder

    many thanks looooolbanned
