Why am I getting xtrap errors due to crossfire's own programs?

Do I have to re-install?

tell us which code number error xtrap gives you and we will tell you why you get it

says conhost.exe site- crossfire, and the code is: 0-0400-00000000-518
I reinstalled btw, still get the error. this pc is brand new, can't be the pc.

or it will say powercfg.exe or something like that. And that code is 02-0400-00000000-518

all my other games are completely fine.

edit: as soon as hwg loads I get the error

I'm confused you got 2 different errors?

"Some functions of the operating system are not working properly due to external program. Please, close any program which is affecting game client."

May show up in-game or as you launch Audition.

Problem: A conflicting program is running (.exe)
Solution: Find and close the “offending” program. It is usually listed on the actual X-Trap error window where it says “Tool Name”. If you open your Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del, or the faster Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and look under “Processes” you’ll be able to find it.
You can also disable them from running at Windows bootup, but be careful not to disable important processes.
Examples of conflicting programs: Maplestory, League of Legends (Garena), ATI Tray Tools, certain screen recording software programs (e.g. Fraps, CamStudio)

conhost.exe has to do with the console on win 7. Shouldn't be a problem.


Perhaps a driver or overlay issue, maybe take a screenshot of the task manager when you get the error.

Woops, quite right. Win 8 has it too, I have two comhost running right now and can start the game fine.

i fixed it.

What happened was for arma 2 /dayz mod there's a anticheat called battle eye client or something like that, It was up in the background even though I closed the game, and After noticing it still up in my processes list I closed it and the xtrap errors stop.

Was just a dumb anticheat glitch from arma.
