i am not even talking about bonuses and my commission, i get paid 40 an hour base salary guaranteed just showing up to work every day, i have nothing special about me to do this job, you are talking about the 1% of people that get popular on the interwebs, there are millions of failures out there, you have a way better chance becoming somebody like me than somebody like this sodapoppin, and i am not even going over my personal real estate that bring in a steady cash flow regardless of my job. we will see where this guy is in 10 years and then we can look at where i will be in 10 years, i guarantee this soda guy will be working at one of my hotels. -

Its all about saving and investing money correctly. We people have over 250K a year and contract deals for years, it adds up to help them in the long run.
Im still on the fence about what I want to do which is why I havent gone to college yet. I dont feel like wasting 50K on something I may not really need. -

Goddamn I'm tired of these posts. Let's ignore that there is a 70% chance you're lying and say that you are telling the truth about yourself. Who. The. Fck. Cares? Idk about anyone else here, but I love gaming. I'm a lazy fck. I have given up a ton of chances of making decent money or getting myself to the point where I could make decent money because of not give a damn about it.
It's not about the amount of money you make gaming, it's just about playing and the money is just a plus. Do you really think I'm proud of the amount of money I've made gaming? Do I brag about it? Stop acting like people on CF, or even the 97% of gamers who have made no money gaming, play for the money.
I have a 34.25 on the ACT and actually ended up having a free ride to college. Do/did I do anything with that that could have gotten me a degree to make a shtload of cash? No, what I'm doing with it will be an easy job for middle class pay. I can sing and have had opportunities for that. Do I do anything with that? No. I even had a job opportunity at 16 to make 30$ an hour and go up from there substantially after graduating. I said no and played games instead. I have had multiple opportunities in my life to do a lot of things to make "good" money, but I would rather spend my life doing what I have found out I really love and making a mediocre-ish amount of money at an easy job than to work my life away just to have money for no real reason. I say no real reason because I don't really give a damn about spending money on other things. I don't care about driving a really nice car, I don't care about how big my house is, I don't care about a lot of things that people give a fck about. I value my money and spend it on things that please me and save up the rest. I don't spend it on things to make me "look better" to other people. I will have more than enough money to support my desires, save, and live decently, and that's all I care about having enough money for. The same goes for a lot of people. Stop acting like everyone cares about how much you make and how much they could be making if they did "this" or "that." I have the potential to make a damn lot more than you do, but I choose to do what I want with my life because I can. Making 40$ an hour is not that impressive. Stop acting like it is and shut the fck up.
Edit: Not going to lie, I didn't really read your post, I kinda just read like half a sentence. Now that I actually read it, it's not what I thought you were saying. Oh well, this sht needed to be said in general either way. -

you cant get a .25 on the ACT. impossibruuuuuuu
4 sections. Add all 4 together then divide by 4. That's your exact ACT score. I had to get above an exact score on one of my scholarships.****tttt i think my act score was like ****in 19
Sht doesn't matter. Just a guideline anyways. -

Respect for sharing your story, I would also rather do what I love then doing something I don't like because I don't care about other peoples opinion nor money is a factor on me. In some cases people work their ass off to go to university and get a good job just because they want their family or something to talk about how much of a good job they did. But I'd rather follow my dream and have a job that I'd like showing up to and enjoy than being there just for the money. -

man i always thought you were a bigot, and a scab, but this changed my mind about you. I also live my life like this, and i hope to in the future. I wasnt really good at gaming or to this day good at all, but i love it. Blow some steam, got me through university, it was an outlit for me(crossfire, i know). I have a degree, but im comfortable at my job as a book keeper, i could attempt to climb the ladder of finance, but why? why work my ass off, no social life, just so i can add $5 to my hourly wage. I got a car, apartment, and a good computer, and group of great friends. You sir are a messiah. -

Woah woah woah, but you hate crossfire. You always say crossfire isn't fun. How do you love something that brings you anger and more hatred every time you're playing it? You're playing it cause you're good not because you love it. -

I'll add this to my resume. -

It seems to me like you're just throwing your life away. Sure it's fun to play video games, but they shouldn't be a substitute for actually going somewhere with your life. You say you live decently, but nowhere in your post did I see you mention other people. I suggest applying your talents to make more money now so you can raise your kids in a nice house and take your girl on nice dates. No, playing video games together isn't a date.
Anyway, I'm glad you enjoy playing video games. Feels good to cheat your way to International tournaments huh. -

That's society saying I'm throwing my life away. If you go by society's standards, then yes, I'm throwing my life away, but on the other side of things, it is my life to live, not yours or anyone elses. If I don't really care about getting a lot of money, it is my choice. It's not like I don't realize what I'm doing. As a matter of fact, I am extremely aware of the choices I have made. I do regret a lot of my choices in life, but doing what I'm doing now is not one of them. I lived the life of being the jock, having a "great" time in life and planning on getting married and having kids as the apex of my life. Then I found video games and found out why I never really truly enjoyed life. I didn't honestly give a fck about all that other sht and video games was my thing. For one, I don't like kids and don't want any. The thought of having someone depending on me like that annoys me. I didn't even like taking care of this cute ass puppy I had because it annoyed me and I thoroughly detest babysitting my relatives. Not because I don't care about them, but just because kids aren't my thing. I'm great with kids, I can make them laugh and they have a blast with me and sht, but I still don't really "like" kids. It's the most annoying version of a human to me lol. Doing what I will end up doing I will have more than enough money for me and my potential girl, but, like I was saying, I don't see any point in doing, what I consider, "wasting" my life just to earn more money. I'll at least be making 70k+ a year and that is more than enough. I have grown up on 25k with my mom and then when I started working we had no idea what to do with the extra couple thousand. This is just me though, you can live your life the way you want to, I don't give a damn, and you shouldn't give a damn how I live mine.
Also, we didn't make it to international when we ghosted. If we would of, we probably would of gotten a much more harsh punishment. -

all you like and want is to play video games and work hard for small salaries?o.O
Here in America you can have all these while being middle class.

actually a CPA is nothing to sugar coat, it is already known to be one of the hardest professional exams in the world, harder than the bar/pe exams, etc., call me whatever you want, my formal title is a tax associate - international taxation/transfer pricing and FA for retirement planning.. not sure what you're getting at.
