Can't load download page!

Just bought a new Acer laptop. Can't load up the download page. just times out. I've tried disabling firewall, and spyware blockers, tried using IE and mozilla firefox. The other game (saga) download page loads up fine. Any suggestions? Haven't heard anything about the page itself being down.

The download link on the z8 site. The one that pops up if u hover the cursor over the 'download' header.

Also, any URL that starts "crossfire.z8games.com...' does the same thing.

weird. Can download Europe Xfire, install and run no prob. Blocked for my region tho. And I want to play on my old Xfire account anyhow.

wow. So I checked online with a URL checker, and the crossfire.z8games.com site is running just fine. I tried navigating to it on my iphone browser, and the same thing happened. The connection didnt happen and timed out. is it my router maybe? Gonna bypass it and see.

There might be something wrong with your DNS. Try resetting your router and also open your local hosts file to see if someone has added an entry for crossfire.z8games.com.

If it's the latter case, you might wanna virus scan your computer...

wow. What a journey. I have concluded that there is something wrong with the internet. I ran a trace on the crossfire.z8games.com url, and traffic is getting blocked. I am in Southwestern Ontario, and I think the traffic is getting stopped in Toronto. I have confirmed this with a buddy in IT working in another SW Ontario city. That explains why when I lookup the site on a URL checker, it says that the site is working just fine, because they are communicating with crossfire.z8games.com through a different route. It also explains why I can pull up the site on data with my phone. Different routing. So now, it seems I should be trying to let the z8 people know about this, or at least try to find some news about a down internet hub. The chase continues.
