Connection Issues
I can't connect to CrossFire in-game (my game freezes on channel selection).
Neither can I click the "back" button out of the room -- my game freezes.
Neither can I load up games -- my game freezes on loadup.
I also cannot connect to the z8games website (I am using a proxy from the Netherlands to post this). Threads (from my actual IP) take 40 seconds to load, and the log-in section only says "connection has timed out"
This has been happening in various degrees for 4-5 days. I now cannot load up any game of CF.
Cool.

The crossfire gods answered to my prayers. -
I have the same issue; I haven't been able to get on for four-five days now. My gamewatcher gets stuck at step three. I'll list some troubleshooting that I have done myself; Incase it saves any time.
1. Uninstalled and reinstalled crossfire (This includes a complete uninstall with every folder deleted [Including the hidden app data folder]). Also I have tried installing whilst my antivirus is completely off.
2. Tried installing on my laptop instead; Same issue. This has led me to believe there is a problem with my ip/router.
3. Opened my superhub and opened up the ports for crossfire. Also I added crossfire as an exception in my antivirus.
I also can not access the forums via my computer (Or anything connected to my wifi). Please bear in mind that everything else works fine (Including other games and applications so it's not my internet speed.
This is where my issue gets weird. If I set up my phone as a personal hotspot (So connecting my computer to my phone using my 4G [Not wifi]) The game works completely fine and I can connect to the forums via my pc. Literally think I've been ip banned or something lol - When can this be fixed? -
Next time .. post your isuss in Tech support section ...
Try to restart your router/modem !
OR : When it freeze in channel .. press (Alt+tab) to back to desktop .. then press (alt+tab) to back to the game !
.........
and i think that all connect isuss solved after 6-1-2015 patch !
........
Good luck! -

How do you know there is a patch today? -

This is the same issue I have. I cannot connect to the forums on my phone either, if it's through my wifi. However, I can connect to the forums from my phone if I use my 4G network.
Also, I have been able to play the game some. However, each day (for the past 4-5 days, hah), the connectivity issues have gotten worse. It started by freezing my game (dropping it down to 0%CPU) every time I joined a channel, then loading 2-3 minutes later. Then, it started freezing when I hit the "Back" button out of any room.
After our match in ESG, it freezes on loadup of any game, and I can't play at all.
I system restored to a time before this issue was happening, and it did not help.
So, I uninstalled CF, deleted all registry entries for it, then attempted to reinstall CF.
I cannot currently re-install CF (it says fail to patch G4box_exe).
Here's hoping that this patch fixes our issues. -
Yawn; Patch did absolutely nothing. My game is still broken - Wonderful
Same here. No fix.
I can load up games now, however (I fixed this before the patch).
Unfortunately, it takes upward of 20 seconds to join (so I start the first round at 2:05 / 2:06 oftentimes), and I cannot join any channel without 5-10 minutes worth of lag. Also, I still cannot exit rooms via the back button without another 5-10 minutes worth of lag.
I still have to post to the forums via a proxy.
Attempts / information gained at/from troubleshooting:
System restored to a date before this issue. No fix, but it allowed me to enter rooms again. So, at least I can play, 30 minutes after I start the game. Yay...?
Opened Task Manager and observed the CPU / memory usage while running CF. When I enter a channel, the CPU for CF drops to 0%, and stays there until it stops lagging (it spikes up to 1-2% every few seconds). When it is done, it jumps back up to its usual 15% and stays there. This is true while I am lagging entering games, and while I am lagging leaving rooms.
I use Windows 7, and have tried running with no antivirus protection. This issue has been occurring for exactly 7 days now. I have not changed my hardware setup since then, nor have I downloaded / installed any drivers, updates, or programs.
