Conjoining Teams and Clans

I had a good talk with a buddy of mine and we discussed some of the things that can be done to help improve the state of the competitive scene. One of the things we picked up on is trying to get more teams migrated into larger clans. Now obviously the s5 will still play for tournaments but by mixing both a competitive team and a public clan we can perhaps reach out to more players.

What do most players in CFNA know more about, a team or a public clan? The answer will most likely be the clan over the team.

Clans already want to be known for having the top spot in the clan ranking list but having their name announced on the main page, and viewed by others on streams will make them more determined to have players join competitive.

Im not to sure how many of you would look into this but I hope there will be more.

A couple years ago back when W.O.G.L was around pub clans participated. I think the only reason was because there was a open and pro league bracket. Having the open bracket opens up more of a chance for players like that. If you throw 50 teams all in the same bracket, its obvious whose gonna come out on top.

Coming to a conclusion two separate brackets would be better. Advertising for major leagues like ESG on the forums, Crossfire Game Starter, and lastly in game would be a great help. These 3 components would shine light on those who don't know the competitive scene.

Just another idea to throw out there; if a team wants to enter in the pro division right away a fee should be applied. Would help boost the prize money and profit of the league.

I agree with the above statement. I think that if there was two separate brackets, such as the Open and Pro, I think stuff would go a lot smoother. A lot of these new teams don't have a chance against, bio, team drk (coda I love you), and I don't know any of the other top teams, I've been away for quite awhile. In the end, whatever happens, happens. Lol

Better yet let's bring in skill coefficients. Crap clans can have 6 7 or even 8 players.


Now it's balanced again.
