New Computer / Laptop Advice.

Haven't been around on here lots but decided to post this here.. I remember there being more than a few people that know what goes in a computer.

I'm deciding whether to get a gaming desktop, or laptop. I mainly want a laptop because I barely stay in one spot and would prefer to have my gaming mobile.. but performance-wise I want it as good, or NEARLY as good as my previous gaming desktops. I want the laptop to run CS:GO, CF, Total War, and Rust with no problems or FPS lag.

Budget isn't much of a problem. I'll most likely take a desktop if it's THAT much cheaper, but the hopes are to get a gaming laptop.

Any ideas? Links? Preferences? Recommendations? So on so forth.
Thankya.

  • Go to an actual tech forum and post your question there. They will give you a far better opinion on what you want and even leave you with a better understanding of what you're buying. Some that I would suggest is tomshardware, linustechtips, teksyndicate. There are other ones that you can check out but these are ones that I use.

But if you don't want to then first you have to give us a number, the most amount of money that you are willing to spend.

    ^Yep.

PC always will be the best choice, but it looks like it's better for you to get a lap in your situation (like me :p), so... are you a Fu**ing rich guy who want the best lap? :D then go for Alienware even though it's really... really expensive, but if you want a cheaper one and also powerful I'd choose something from Lenovo Z series, it's not so expensive and you can get a lap which will be able to run Assassin's creed unity on ultra settings with +30 FPS.

Currently I'm using Samsung NP350V5C, it's a decent cheaper one (a little bit better quality than Lenovo ) if you're not a hardcore gamer, and I'm fine with CF ( 210 FPS since the AMD graphic card won't run its maximum power ), watch dogs, Middle Earth : Shadow Of Mordor, BF4, COD AW...etc, but I'm not playing every single game on ultra/very high settings for sure.
  • Thanks for the replies. I've decided to go with a laptop from MSI Canada. :)
