Xtrap error ddraw.dll

hey, when i start cf xtrap closes cf with the following error: http://imgur.com/KDm169j

i searched what ddraw.dll was online and it said it was needed on your computer for 2d graphics or something. it told me NOT to delete it as its needed for your computer to work. Please help!

People get the weirdest errors..

Uninstall properly (Uninstall + delete Z8Games folder), run a full virus scan, disable antivirus, install CF, try again.

And OBVIOUSLY, no mods or cheats or overlays (Xtrap, fraps) running.

already uninstalled and reinstalled but still no hope ive closed all programs running and still get the same error (I even deleted xtrap to see if it would sort it's self out) I've looked on other forums and people have said they have stopped playing completely because of this error. I've also researched the dll and it said it's needed on your computer (it's in the system32 folder, I'm not good with computers but everyone has said on other forums that dll is needed) I have no idea what to do

windows 7 ultimate and yes i believe so.

So you may try one of those solutions:

1. Uninstall Windows update KB3000850
OR
2. Reinstall DirectX (use a DirectX 10 version , latest DirectX 11 is not supported by Xtrap)

Finally if doesn't work - reinstall your Windows , you may have other malicious software on your PC that mess up with your system files ..

I can manage to log in to the game but then after that I enter a room and join, it fills up my loading bar, then it just stays there then crashes. I also checked for the windows update KB3000850 and I couldn't find it in windows update history.

Any help? I checked to see and I saw that my directX was recently updated to 11, could that be the thing? When it was a 10 it worked fine and all started on the patch update a few days back when it would just freeze. So i reinstalled and this happened.

I looked for the windows update on its history but it said that update had never been done. Also any links on the legit update for DX?

I'm not saying your a hacker, but "ddraw" is considered a hack that xtrap picks up. Just delete it from your z8games folder default is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8Games\CrossFire"

Lol dude your english was very messed up there the only part i picked up was dont delete it which I know not to do because thats what powers your game video

Before you thing to delete any file - search on internet and see what proram use-it , those file : d3d9.dll, ddraw.dll - belong to DirectX software , go and delete them and i'm pretty sure no game will work after you do that ...

p.s. Curious about that advice - did u test-it on your pc ? .. if not don't made advice on problems you didn' encounter OR solution you din't test .. LOL

Lol, no but i heard that ddraw is used to inject hacks into the game so thats why i said something, but for some reason it is related to directX then go find it :P

Nah thats not what ddraw is ddraw is what shows the pictures in games and stuff on your pc. You delete and good luck getting back on your pc Lol
