Keep getting this error, I've reinstalled the game. Restarted modem.

Already did all that, restarted computer, restarted modem, uninstalled, turned firewall off then reinstalled, ran as administrator.

Kept it, along with any and all antivirus and parental control functions in the router, off though right?


Do you connect to a router then a modem, or modem to PC, or network cable straight in the wall to a 'modem'/router?
Might want to open some ports, the modem definitely acts as a switch either way, not sure which ports CF uses but there should be network logs in the web-UI of the 'modem'.

Check them, run CF, check them again. Deduce accordingly.

It's worked before, I run cable from pc to router.

It's only today it won't let me connect

Also I've tried making a new user account, re downloaded again. Still now working now. 3rd day now. Thanks for all the support.

You should have the IP of relevant servers if you did the network logs thing, do a cmd > tracert <ip> on it, see where the connection stalls.

The UK, I don't know what else to do. I opened the ports, restored my computer to an earlier point still know luck.

And you're connecting to the "UK" servers of course, Germany that is.
(Nevermind, this error happens before you get to choose servers. I'm slow.)

Maybe add a screenshot of your task manager (with the error still showing)..
We don't have a blanket solution for this, maybe this thread could create one.
