Taking 100% CPU

I started playing again after almost a year break and now CF is taking up pretty much 100% CPU.

Now, I don't have what so ever a "top of the line" computer. I'm using a laptop.
Acer extensa 4420. It's old, but it used to run crossfire decently at low settings. With at least 30 fps. But now with the 100% cpu it causes frame drops. From around 30 to 12 or below about every like 20-30 seconds. Which you can imagine gets really annoying when trying to aim.

Just want to know if there's anything I can really do to fix this issue. Without buying a new computer. I can run games like counter strike, COD4 and other games pretty decently. Yeah I have some frame drops every now and then but it isn't anywhere near as much as it happens in this game. Which the graphics in this game aren't as good, it's similar to CS. (To me anyway) So I really don't understand why it's taking up so much.

Hey. Mine was doing this too. I was screwing around trying to fix it by doing all kinds of **** but nothing seemed to matter. I go in, CPU goes to 100 and FPS drops to 2. I can hit 200FPS normally. ~_~
