"Terminate Program" Popup

While playing Cross Fire a message error will popup occasionally while playing it and it is very annoying. If it pops up it disables my character. This isn't bad while I'm at my bace that's no big deal, I can switch quickly to the message and exit it, and jump back in the game. However in a close in fight and it pops up I'm pretty much hooped. Is there anything I can do?

It happens to me sometime, I do believe though going to properties, compatibility, and the one of those opptions to run it with might stop it, I think it was Windows Service Pack 2.
