Getting a dog

I'm getting a dog this month and I want some opinions from some owners on what they suggest. I'd like a dog that would just like to chill and ly around, not too active but still fun to llay with.

Any ideas

Buy pure-breed, from a seller you can really talk to, ask about how the parents are et.c.
Poodles are awesome too.
