Can't start crossfire

Hello,
My crossfire works really fine till that very last update, it starts, it lets me login and do whatever afterwards then few seconds later it exits back to my PC's desktop,
Has this happened to anyone else AFTER Thursday's update? Did you resolve it? If you did so can you please help me ?

It's more than likely a windows update problem. Uninstalling it should work. See here

Hi, thanks for your help but unfortunately it's not even that error like what's in that link! It took me to CF login then server then channel dialogue blabla, I was in the lobby and could see my clan-mates talk etc etc, just few seconds later it magically quits and takes me back to my PC's desktop, it does NOT even show an error dialogue and the support people are yet to respond to my ticket

Yeah apparently according to that link, there is an update (KB3000850) which conflicts with xtrap, I installed that just before updating CF I think, moreover, I am removing it now and hopefully after that it should be ok.

Hi

I got it sorted! Basically you need to remove the update "KB3000850"
If you have windows 8.1 then go to:
Control Panel >> Programs >> Under the programs and features: View Installed Updates >> In the search bar write: KB3000850 >> At the dialogue window click "Yes" >> Let it reverse the update then when it finishes it would ask for a restart >> Let it restart >> Updates are reversed and configured >> Done.
