  • It just was a normal day.

I guess that goes for anyone not living in the US or Canada
  • No school that's it
    Ate food crossfire bed
    Ate food crossfire bed
    Ate food crossfire bed
    Ate food crossfire bed

    Welcome to my life
  • When was this?

Wikipedia tells me 27th.. Probably something like mariasexys schedule then.
I might have inadvertently eaten poultry, though not turkey.
So I celebrated like a boss.

Ey thats pretty much my life too, but add gym in there hhhhhhhhh
  • Hue I'm late.

    Went to church.
    Went to Dim Sum.
    Went to bed.
Woke up at 6:00 P.M to go to cousin's house for thanksgiving.
Finds out parents were going to Walmart first.
Spends 3 hours at Walmart waiting in line.
Comes to cousin's house very late.

Not very surprised, Holidays never go out the way I plan em.
  • Got back Wednesday night after taking the train/bus back home- SO many delays (we had a snowstorm in New England). Made 3 pies as soon as I got back. 2 pumpkin, 1 apple cranberry.

Logged in once on Thanksgiving, but I really spent my time relaxing and hanging with the family and friends. Ate enough to feed a family for a week. Napped. Watched football. It was nice to catch a break before finals. Went to see Horrible Bosses 2- very funny movie.
  • My Thanksgiving: :)

    Woke up early
    Played some CF
    Took a shower
    Had some Pumpkin Pie <3
Had some Turkey, Stuffing and Mashed Potatoes :D
    Played some CF
(My mom broke her ankle so only my step brother came over)
The next day I went to my dads and we had Stake, Cheesy Potatoes and Asparagus.

    THE END :D

    Sounds pretty chill.

I spent mine gorging myself trying to gain some more weight.. It hasn't worked (yet). Family was okay, there actually wasn't drama this year. The food was damn good. Had a lot of college assignments though, which kind of sucked.

Just keep eating more n more until you gain weight bro, simple as that.

It really isn't.. Like fat people, thin people need a strict programme to stick to to change their weight.
Fat people think "I don't really eat much, I'm just big-boned!!", I don't know how it works for thin people cause I've never been skinny but imagine it's the same thing in reverse, "I eat enough but I just don't gain..".

woow totally ot, i'm sorry. I just now some people who are _SKINNY_, and they struggle.

But it really is, if you dont gain then you just simply dont eat enough. Some people dont realize have insane fast metabolisms that burn off food faster that lightning speed, for them they literally have to eat 10k-15k calories to even maintain or gain like 1 pound everyday. To be able to sustain that amount of food everyday is obiously expensive and takes dedication, and most people will not have the drive to do that, so they keep blaming oh i cant gain weights whatsoever. Well they can and it just takes a lot.

Drama and college assignments were both present this year. Junkies are no joke :/

Doesn't work like that...as dot is about to explain ^^

This is me. I'm 20 years old and only about 140 lbs. I used to be part of a competitive climbing team a few years back, and I was at exactly the same weight then as I am now. Apart from working out more, I dont really see what I can do to to "get them gains". As it is, I've accepted I'm more lengthy and less wide than your average Joe.

    Cheers

I'm gonna go ahead and say there is no person, except elite athletes who burn ridiculous amounts of energy, who burn 15 000 compared to the normal 2000 kcal.

I'm not saying the solution isn't to eat more, I'm saying it's more COMPLICATED psychologically. Just like telling a fat person to "eat less" - while accurate, it's not something that's easy to do because skinny people think they eat enough.. or 'not thaaat much', for fatties.

(This doesn't sound right, I must be overlooking some basic physical principle so imma go ahead and parenthesize this and move it to the bottom, someone explain this for me)
(1kg of muscle gives us 600 kcal, there is 600kcal IN a kg of muscle
    A pizza gives us 1000kcal.
I'll go out on a limb here and say that nobody eats 15 pizzas a day, your 15 000 kcal.
Someone might eat two pizzas, or the normal 2000kcal in a day.
13 000 kcal apparently remains, which of course gets taken from muscle since a ridiculously skinny person is unlikely to be very high in body fat, which is what the body normally would steal kcal from if you don't eat
He'd be losing 21 kg in a day to sustain the body, with your 15kcal metabolism. It doesn't happen.
Super-high metabolism is a lie, everybody averages the same and differences in kcal requirements are based on PHYSICAL exercise, not random assignment)

I am talking about ordinary people here with no muscles. Also people with fast metabolism still burn ridiculous amount of kcal regardless if they exercise or not. If a person doesnt exercise and already requires 10k kcal to maintain, imagine when he/she trying to gain size and strength.

Also maybe people who require 10-15k kcal are rare, 4k-8k sounds a bit more reasonable for most skinnies.

For these people its about consistency with their caloric intake, if they miss just one day without hitting their caloric intake goal, then everything just goes out the window. Thats why having a medium is absolutely perfect.

Bruh you need quit those cardio based sports like climbing and soccer, start doing sports like Powerlifting, Strongman, or even Bodybuilding... Then start eating like a horse, end of story.

Doesnt work like that? Tell me how does it work then?
  • I call lie on anything above 3000 kcal for an inert, normal-built (less for skinnies) person living in a normal (20-30 c summer) climate.
    Does not compute.

Of course you gain mass through rigorous (building)exercise and a strict diet.
That wasn't the point. The point was that "eat more" or "eat less" is about as helpful for someone trying to gain weight or lose weight as telling someone ugly to be less ugly.
God I'm on a roll with comparisons..
Someone who eats a lot is often oblivious or in denial about his diet, and someone skinny wondering why he doesn't gain often thinks he eats as much as everyone else because he gulps down a pizza when everyone else does, when so much more - activity, what doesn't get eaten by him that most normal-build people eat like a steady breakfast and lunch etc also comes in to play.

Naturally, kcal in kcal out always applies. People are just oblivious to their way of life, though happily judge everyone else.

I'm so far off topic so I bow out of this thread, feel free to make one specifically about this if you're interested.
On topic to save face: TURKEY DINNER N GRAVY.
