https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmgMRpziHFo&list=TL53aCH_hu5nU
• Espionage War (Spy Mode).
• Battle Arena Mode (1v1 Area)
• New Game Interface. (Better Quality Use Interactions)
• Intelligent Matching System (Matchmaking?)
• Fully Updated Maps. (Texture Upgrades / Weather / Surroundings)
• Fully Upgraded Weapons. (Weapon GFX / Sound / Physics)
• Characters Upgraded Completely. (New char model, hitboxes, movement, physics)
• CrossFire Shield System. (New Anti-Hacking Protection)
What do you guys think this will do for CF?
Could we see the game re-elevate and possibly move into a better competitive light with 2.0 in NA CF?
Just wondering moving forward what the competitive perception of Crossfire 2.0 is moving forward as its an update we will most likely see between 6 month - 2 years from now depending on how its test runs in Asian versions go.

I'll pretend not to see this because 2.0 is a very different discussion for the competitive side compared to the average users concerns, but there is a sticky in Off Topic about this that is supposed to be the sole thread and might have information of interest to you.
Someone else might close this, I gotta run. -

The last 2 bullet points are the only ones I am excited about. -
Honestly as a former competitor I think the most key bullets will be:
- How good is the new Anti-Cheat within the client?
- What Changes to game physics will be made / how severe?
- What sort of Matchmaking system 2.0 will entail?
- How this new client update will effect competitions / events / rules -
aaaaaaaaaaaand no new servers/client, so peek advantage and registry stay the same
Yup.
@ZZXQ the hitboxes won't change. It's mentioned somewhere in the other thread (the off-topic discussion) that the update will have an option for the classic look / graphics.
Guys, it's an update. A massive update, but an update nonetheless. The core of the game won't (apparently) change. -

I read somewhere the engine was changing. So the core of the game technically would be changing as even older or lower looking graphics would still feel mechanically different on the new engine. -
Will be using Unreal Engine 3.
This means:
Much different movement, recoil physics, nade physics, etc
It is near impossible to emulate CFs current physics to a T on a engine like unreal 3.
My best example is look at AVA. Its going to run similar to that. AVA has been on unreal engine 3 since 2011. -

Damn, the movement is so different ;/. Crossfire is fun just because of its easy movement in comparison to other games. -
I found sources that said it would still be on the Lithtech engine, just a much needed upgraded version of the engine. I would assume that's why it's an update versus a completely different game, but don't quote me on it. I believe it's the same version that games like FEAR were made on. Not the newest Lithtech, but most certainly not near as old as the one we're on.

Crossfire's movement is ****ing retarded, it's actually the worst I've ever had to play with. Tell me, is it fun when you're getting bhopped c-walked one deag'd across the map? -
It actually helps them being on the Lithtech engine, not many cheaters take the time to reverse the engine and post public information on it. UE3 on the other hand, has had many AAA games released and has been picked apart.
You'll find it is much easier to write a cheat for a game that has a public SDK for creating mods or your own game, as the engine classes are all open for you to look at. I wonder how long this has been in development though, because UE4 is much more flexible for developers. -
Pros: None
Cons: **** servers,**** hackers,**** reg,not able to support more than 125 polling rate.
Other thoughts: Do not waste your time playing this product. It is no better than crossfire, the only difference is spop has a fatter ass.
I give this product 1/5 eggs.
