XTrap Error (Corrupted Operating System)

I've been getting this XTrap error for about a week or so now...it happens randomly; sometimes I can play several games in a row, other times I crash as soon as I join a server.

Found out the solution for this problem.

08-0400-00000000-544 is an error caused by a certain update from windows update.
"Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB3000850)" Name may vary for other windows.

go check your recent windows update history and see the date of an update that matches the day you are having this error.

you have to uninstall that update.

This solution fixed this error and can play CF without having that error anymore.

I don't have Windows 8 so could you be more specific about the actual name of the update? There were tons of updates installed during the time when I started getting this error so I have no idea which update is causing it.

Thanks m8, worked for me, also giving a bump for anyone else with this problem

Decided to restart my pc today and that's when I started getting the error
