Can't make new accounts?

Trying to make my roommate an account and keep getting this error



Everything is filled in correctly, used multiple usernames/emails, etc.. All valid details.

I have a UK IP. Which i'm pretty sure is allowed... So whats up.

Would be nice if CF errors actually said something useful.

Account creation policy changed a few months ago. You're allowed to create 3 per month on the same ip.

You sure you haven't surpassed that limit? If yes, submit a support ticket I guess. Misleading error message, nothing to get out of that.

All right damn, this is weird then.

Uh so, this message pops up after you click on the "I Accept" part at the bottom of the registration page? 'Cause you see, I've never gotten this error before. But then again, I too haven't created an account in awhile.

Try this actually; try logging in with the info (id and password) you just tried to create an account with. Also check (or have your friend check) the email and see if a confirmation email was sent to it.

Yup fill in everything, Everything says "Valid", Accept rules but then i get that message.

Tried different browsers, tried on my ipad, tried on his pc. Even changed my IP and that did not work either, so i have no idea.. Can anyone confirm it's not actually just broken?

Was there a thread about all the changes to the registration?

Your first mistake is trying to make an account for someone else.

Please don't do this. This can lead to a ban of the account.

Have your friend create their own account. It isn't hard.
