Post-October 6 Maintenance Issues - Oct. 10

Attention Players,

We realize that the October 6 Maintenance has created many issues for our players. We hope to have them resolved for everyone in a timely manner.

The purpose of the maintenance was to change the way our backend systems authenticate player data. This was to increase player security when it comes to their data. Unfortunately, we could not predict all of the issues that could have arisen, but we should have taken better care in ensuring that the systems were working properly.

The following is a list of the issues that we are aware of:

- Cannot make web mall purchases due to 0 zp balance: EDIT: This issue is fixed now. New accounts can use the web mall again.
- Changing Email Function Removed: We have disabled the email change function so as to provide players with added security for their account. All email changes will now have to be done by sending a support ticket, and will only be processed with proper account ownership verification.
- Password may be working on the website, but not in game: We ask that you please send a support ticket if you receive this issue. We can resolve it from our systems.
- Changing Forum Name Function Removed: This was done in preparation for the changes that will be taking place regarding Account Signup. Please note that we will be returning the Forum Name Change function for a short period of time. After this period, you will no longer be allowed to change your Forum Name. We will be making more announcements about this issue as soon as we receive the finalized details.

Permanently Changed Functions:

- Friend Invite System Removed: Due to the current abuse of the system, we will not be returning the current system. We will introduce new ones in the future.
- PW Change Option Changed: The password change function has changed. Please ensure you do not give your password to anyone. If your account was lost, you can still use the "Forgot your Password" reset link.
- PW Reset Link will no longer give Full Account Information: Password resets will now send a verification link to the currently registered email address. We will no longer be sending the full account information. It is very important that you please make sure your email address is working properly.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,
-CrossFire Team
