legit? cut players after winning a tournament that big. a bit harsh..
to many people yes it may be kind of harsh and unexpected. but Aui was the underperformer and not necessarily even a carry player. I watched the whole event and caught most of the EG games. this guy downright underperformed even in their wins
so the other 4 players might have already had an idea that they didn't want to have him anymore after the event (or even before TI5). anyways they bring in ex-Team Secret hyper carry Arteezy/RTZ so EG will have 3 prime carries for when the next season start. scary roster still with ppd and Universe on the supporting end. this team will do wonders AND win TI6. mark my words lol
besides taking $1.3 million isn't bad. I'm sure he will go to another team or pursue other things. I'd take $1.3m and leave on any day lolz -

oh well that makes sense. but yeah 1.3 mill then getting cut, still take that anyday.
ps. i still don't know when i'm getting paid. i've spent so much money yesterday alone. so might have to stall another week or 2. -

isnt each game like 40-50 minutes? who wants to watch a Bo5 if its gunna last so long ._.
TEAM LIQUID WIN
Dota2 way longer games tbh lol. But this is professional MOBAs for you. Longer games but more action in a sense. Teams aren't just going to ff and not play hard. There's a ton on the line for both teams -

almost an hour of a match... i've never committed to a match that long.. -

guess when you're an international world champ and just won $1.3 million your own net worth is pretty high LOL
i would of ended my career after winning that much money. -
huehue but still if you remain on a team your net worth continue to grow as you participate in more events. when your net worth grow that means you're earning
besides he didn't say which team he joined. for all we know it could be a top tier team ready to take on his former team next year lolz -

flies to china and joins cdec. xD -

china should be proud how far they've gotten in two of the most popular MOBAs right now
cdec, a team that wouldn't have even made it to TI5 without winning a wildcard spot through qualifier, made it to the grand finals and places 2nd. impressive -

Something like that. I don't know how you guys can stand it. I installed LoL a while back and the matches were insanely long. I just got bored and let my character AFK. It wasn't even fun at all. -

believe me, i don't play LoL at all either. Watching the game is a completely different story. Yes, it takes like an hour per match and the first 30 minutes are so boring but towards the end, with all the casters shouting makes it so much fun to watch. -
some games are insanely long probably because teams are afraid to make moves/mistakes and want to play for the late game where their team composition might scale better, as in having more items to combat thus the carries deal more damage and the tanks are beefier. at higher level the games are decided quicker, people don't normally waste time to fight for a comeback win or anything. so really it takes time to see the matches play out; especially a pro match. teams aren't just going to surrender the games because 1) it's a pro match and 2) there can be so much money and prestige on the line. you don't want to forfeit any of that and generally pro matches feature top tier understanding of the games they play, for example dota2 and league of legends. you have 2 teams battling with a ton of knowledge in their heads and impressive mechanical skills at hand. they'll fight to the end, and most games generally aren't roflstomps between top tier teams
mostly it's with MOBAs, but i've watched csgo matches where games last an hour or longer. it's the same thing; people fight to the bitter end. it can get so back and forth that all 30 rounds are played and the set goes to overtime, double overtime, triple overtime until a winner can be decided. i like those kind of games, the intensity comes naturally
i watch for the hype of it too. it's really nice to see so much enthusiasm with the casters and fans. it makes watching these pro gaming events worthwhile. i didn't start out playing these games, i got into them through being a spectator. and that's why i've been a MOBA fan all this while, you won't really see me around any other genre with maybe csgo being an exception
