Obviously it's going to vary quite a bit if you're in to photography, editing or whatever.
I'm not, so; Spotify (takes your mp3s too, VLC for .flac), Skype, Firefox, Steam, Avast! (free), µtorrent (totally innocent!), Speedfan, _proper_ drivers, DAEMON Tools Lite, Audacity, Google Earth.
