Is your gaming history a bigger/better history than mine?

My first game isn't in the list. It was a dual hand held device that only played pong and games like pong such as tennis.

My second game was the Atari 2600. Pitfall, Breakout, Space Invaders, Centipede, Missle Command (how can you forget that sound), Combat, Asteroids and yea, Pac-Man.

My third was the NES. It's where hacking started because the NES would sell it's own cheat codes. Contra, Tysons Punch out and Mario Bro's all came out with cheat codes, but only if you bought the magazine with cheat codes. NES profit.

I never owned the Sega Genesis, I wished I did.

Then the N64 came out! GoldenEye007 had 4 people playing against each other instead of against AI (artificial intelligence). We had 4 people watching the same screen and we called out "screen watcher" when someone would pause to watch an approaching opponents screen. This game was my first, First Person Shooter game in 1994 and I fell in love with the concept of playing other humans and not AI.

In 2007 I finally went PC. I started playing AA when it first came out. There were no hackers, no exploiters, no bugs, nothing..........just a solid FPS game. It was extremely easy for me at first . But later, I noticed I had to go up against CLANS! This was my first taste of being a solo against a clan. (Note; I'm still a solo against clans and still do ok)

I was an adult at this point and worked night shift. All I did was play AA on PC and the game at one point noted I played 44 Hours a week even when working a full time job and playing CO, (an RPG game).

I played so much AA I got Carpal Tunnel. I used a cushion under my hand and a brace on my mouse hand and bought an ergonomic keyboard. I ended up being #2 on the best map AA had. It became AA2 and the game was gone.

I dove into RPG games for a while after that. My first was CO. I became a top 10 Fire Tao very fast. There was no aiming at all, it was just clicking over and over to level up. Again, working night shift, I one day found myself clicking for 12 hours to level up. This was the point I learned about macro's. . I worked harder than anyone but people that weren't at their computer were leveling up.

I then went to GW. The music was like I was in a spa. I felt relaxed. (at this point AA had went mostly hack, like CF now) The GW music and relaxation lead me in. I was one of the few that created my own builds instead of relying on others to create a build for me. I was the thinker that made the builds and some used my builds. (I was a top player in GW when I was on satellite internet, that means it's slower than 26 k which is slower than 56k modem)

Then I researched "best top fps shooters". I came to CF because 3 ranking systems stated Crossfire is full of hackers but the MODS/GM's promise to clean it up................This was years back and never happened.

As it turns out, CF was a great game....But it never actually took a strong stance against the hackers. In fact, the game is under SERIOUS review of being cut from an actual game. Hackers are having fun here. But the REAL players are still here and wonder why the game is folding to hackers.

  • Here is where I started from:

Thread should be in the off-topic though.
  • No, it's shorter because I'm younger, though I started playing PC before you.

I've played more than 3 PC games though..
  • So as a little kid i didnt own any gaming systems. I often played nintendo 64 at my cousin's house, Super Mario and a bunch of other games in those little cartridges that you have to blow when they dont work.

Then came the era of playstation 1 and 2, they were luxury items in Vietnam at the time, only rich kids could buy them. We the poor kids had to play at these game shops i guess for what is the equivalent of 10 cents an hour.

My parents got me a pc and fifth grade, and the first game i played was Call of duty 1 and i loved it, i started playing more and more PC games and started learning more English that way.

A year later i got an xbox 360, it was the equivalent of the ps1 and ps2 back in the day, i was playing pc and xbox 360 back and forth, had plenty of funs. ( During this time only offline games)

2007, Crossfire came out in Vietnam, played it until i moved to the US in 2008

I moved to the US, just in time when CFNA beta was coming out also, and thats how i ended up here.

I played nothing but cfna until 2011, when i got a ps3, had plenty of funs with it.

I sold the ps3 just a few weeks ago to buy a ps4, i will miss the ps3 dearly, My gaming journey continues..........
