Server not available in your region

A friend of mine just made a new crossfire account. We are living in the Netherlands and he gets the "this server is not available in your region"
How can we bypass this

Pretty much what TheShadowRo said (except the date was August 3rd, 2011)

If you, or your friend, did not create their account before a certain date (August 3rd, 2011), you cannot play CrossFire North America.

As outlined in the thread that was linked, this is because there is another version that focuses on your region.
