Bitdefender not compatible with CrossFire

My university internet requires me to have an up to date antivirus software. That being said, I use bitdefender, which seems to trigger an xtrap error before i can play the game. I know that this problem has been around for a while now but hopefully it can be fixed so I can play the cfs qualifiers.

if not, use another antivirus, like AVG or Advanced System Care.
If you can't turn off the Antivirus to play crossfire because it's a university pc ..then there's not much of anything you can do (other than use your own pc/laptop)

it's my own laptop but in order to use the secure university network I need an updated antivirus. It isn't worth the trouble to get another antivirus system I was just wondering if there was a quick fix. I'll look into the thread you linked me thank you.
