MY FIRST - FPS Game/Online Experience?

WHAT...was the FIRST EVER FPS game you guys EVER played? Any platform...And when did you FIRST start playing FPS games online?

The FIRST FPS game I had ever played was GOLDEN EYE back in '97 on the Nintendo 64. Which than led to Doom & Turok.

My FIRST online gaming experience with an FPS was actually Half Life's "Team Fortress", and that was I believe '99. I had currently been an ACTIVE user (as I am Cross Fire), and got the chance to join in the open beta testing of Counter Strike.

So yeah- I've actually been game a long while...FPS [Military style] games have been my closet drug, haha.

My first experience was a game called Soldat. Then Combat Arms, then to Crossfire. All of this started from 08-10

I stayed pretty loyal when it came to GAMING for a while, sticking with SIERRA (makers of CounterStrike). Moved from CounterStrike to;

SWAT 3 (and THIS where my PC Gaming had stopped)

Combat Arms (PC) << I wasted my time with that game for a short time. I'm a member of FilePlanet and I got a key for closed Beta testing
Got bored with that game, and found this game early last year.

I've tried a few other titles, but nothing that captures my attention long enough to stay around. Most recently AVA.

Wolfenstein 3d on a computer running windows 3.0 - get off my lawn!

First shooter vs other people was goldeneye (duh) license to kill, pistols, stack or complex with either of the mines; no oddjobs.

Online was tribes1 shifter mod played leagues and stuff, think team fortress 2 with about 4x more options and jetpacks (circa 2000 ish)

some of my tribes freinds played CS back in the day, but i never played it. someone i used to work with told me about crossfire.

immediately before crossfire i played an online text based RPG, i was one of the top players for a while but it was soul suckingly boring/addictive.

also diablo2 west ladder or nonladder i will slay you

i think we covered a lot here

Crossfire! actually it was a RPG of Command and Conquer named Renegade lolz but actual game that let me play online was CF

Wow, I'm only 20 and I still managed to play the games Bobby and Domes did.
My first FPS game EVER was Perfect Dark - N64. I still DO own N64, and I still play on it from time to time, when I'm bored of CF.

First ever FPS i played was Doom on my old ass Mac.

Then i moved up to Goldeneye.

My first online FPS was Halo. (didn't have my PS2 hooked up to the internets)

Then i moved on to Soldier Front for a long while.

Then combat arms for a short time.

Then Crossfire.

Then Operation7. (Way too easy)

Then Back to CF.

Crossfire is my first online game.Ya I played game consoles but it was nothing like this.I got a computer like 9 years ago(I was 16)and just discovered games like this.But when I was born in 1984 and remember the release of the Atari in 1989.
How many of you remember the Atari?(Atari is old school kids)

Yeah but most circles of friends had a rule against using that character because it was such an advantage.

great game the amount of hours ive played golden eye and perfect dark....

I dont even wanna know that total cause i can garuntee since it had came out minimum of 8 hours a day was spent playing it sometimes pulling all nighters

HAHA! We're in the same boat! We used to get it in with Golden Eye!! Invite all your friends over and have a 'Multiplayer Party' haha! (Which didn't start out like that).

And nobody wanted to play with the Golden Gun or Proximity Mines
