run cf in low priority is a bad idea
cf use a old engine with high cpu usage and lowering priority struggle the calculation and make game slow

Even if your admin you should get an access dined message doing that. To avoid this error

open task manager > tick "show process from all users" > change crossfire.exe's priority. At least for me on windows 7.

if you have admin rights you can change it but cf change it back again to low after while
smilegate need to fix this
they have to change default priority to normal or up or game lags
