The Clean Player Databse
Hi, I’m here to introduce a new system that I’m hoping will help contribute to fair play in CF. First though, I need to give you background on this system that I have dubbed the ‘CPD’ (Clean Player Database).
When I left CF a few months ago I went to play CA. They too have a scrim server, but theres a difference. When we enter a room we say “5v5?” automatically. When they enter, they say “Clean? I’ll check”. They are referring to the CBL player base (http://www.thecaconline.net/cbl/cbl.php). It’s a website that compiles a list of players banned on Nexxon and a list of players where people sent in demos of the player hacking. It tells people whether a clan or player is clean or dirty (A player who doesn’t hack or a player who does). Dirty clans/players are usually not scrimmed and are shunned.
I’m hoping to bring this to CF on a smaller scale. The list will be on this thread, and I’ll explain how to use it later. The purpose of this system is to shun the players who hack, and give the players who don’t hack a way to find out who does when they are scrimming so they don’t play against hackers.
Ok, so the way you use this is, say you are scrimming with your clan. You want to know if the players that just joined and are all readied up are clean. So, you remember the players names (Or write them down or just alt/tab for every person you want to check out) and you alt/tab and go to this thread. Then you go down to where the “Dirty Player List” is and you hold CTRL + F. A screen will pop-up on your screen. You then type in the player name. If the player is not found in the list, he is clean (to our knowledge). If he is found, then he hacks or cheats. This should be great for clans who think players are hacking but aren’t sure, or clans who just don’t want to scrim hackers. This list will be updated as often as possible.

Now, as I mentioned, the players on the dirty list are all to our knowledge. We need YOUR HELP to find all the dirty players in the game! We need you to save replays of hackers and cheaters and upload them to an upload site. A list of sites will be provided. You can either e-mail the link of the download to the admins of the CPD (Admins will be listed in the thread later) at the email: thecpd@hotmail.com
OR
Send the link to the download to one of our admin’s xfires. The list of admins is here:
Pubstar/eDALL – Xfire = Pubstarrr
BlitzD – Xfire = 2blitzd
Cyclops – Xfire = Cyclops77
Drenkips – Xfire = Drenvc
You can also capture the part of the replay you want us to see and upload it to youtube then send us the link either through email or through Xfire. This would be the easiest and most preferred way.
Sample of a replay/youtube submission:
Hi, I saw (Player’s Name) hacking/glitching, here is the proof: (Download link or YouTube Link).
My in-game name is: (Your In-Game Name)
MAKE SURE YOU GIVE US THE PLAYER NAME.
To upload a replay to a download site follow these directions:
1. Remember the name of the replay. This is important to know.
2. Go into “My Documents” on your computer.
3. Click on “Cross Fire”
4. Click on “Replay”
5. Select the replay you want.
6. Upload and send the link to the download to us.
If you are found on the dirty list, there is NO WAY TO GET OFF (at this time). I’m hoping this will discourage hackers, because I think that most clans will use this and shun players who are dirty. I’m asking ALL CLANS TO USE THIS and not recruit dirty players.
Now, I know that people send in replays to Z8 with hacker replays in it. I’m NOT asking you to stop sending these, I’m simply asking you to send it to us as well.
List of sites to upload to:
www.mediafire.com
www.filefront.com
www.youtube.com - Only if your sending us a certain piece of the replay -
it sounds like a good idea, im just not sure that it can be completely reliable. I get called a hacker all the time, and I don't doubt that many people have sent in replays of me, what if they do this to the cpd? is there some1 that moniters the vids and distuinguishes true hackers from pro's?

no **** and you're in undead elite. i say worry now!!! -
The admins..Trusted veterans.. look over the replays to make sure they are or are not hacking. Don't worry..you won't be on here if your clean. Just because someone sends us a replay doesn't mean they hack.it sounds like a good idea, im just not sure that it can be completely reliable. Indeed. I'm pretty sure, If one of us think someone is a little sketchy we will pass the replay down to each other to have a 100% guarantee.
Pubstarr, picked good people, That wont let him down/ -
Finally, I was wondering when something like this would happen. I remember a while back, Bad., myself and a few other clan mates from Serenity decided to try out CA for giggles. Of course due to our past experience playing together we did rather well and soon a lot of teams refused to play us.
After a while we found out they had this database which you could use it you were a legit team, we signed up. After we never had any problems again and we rarely ran into teams that were hacking. It improved game experience and probably was the only reason we played CA for more then a few weeks.
Hopfully this will catch on, I know Blitzd and Pubstarr have a fair bit of experience with administrative roles and I am confident that Cyclops will be able to make things happen.
