CF is cheap. Especially ZP crates.

Crossfire has got to be the cheapest game I've ever played in many aspects ($125 dollars for a gun.. you can literally pre-order the upcoming COD AND modern combat [or whatever else you're looking forward to] for cheaper than that) But honestly, my biggest problem is the cheapness of the ZP crates.

•Nothing Original: Most of it is just old weapons that've been given a new skin to really milk us for what we're worth.

•Contains GP: I have a real issue with this. If you're going to include currency we can get for FREE in something we PAY for at least make it bountiful. 1000 GP? Really? Now-a-days with VIP players in almost every room you can literally get that much by playing 1 MAYBE 2 games. There should be nothing under 5000-1000 worth of GP in ZP crates.

•Contains GP Items: Even worse. At least when they give you GP you can choose what you buy it on. I don't pay money to get a weeks worth of flash guard. There should be no GP items in the ZP crates. Ever.

•Contains same items as GP crates: If you can get 1000 GP in an actual GP crate (even if it's rare) you shouldn't get it in a ZP crate. Ever.

•Contains sprays: Nobody wants that crap.

•Is completely random: I know that that's the whole point of crates but it shouldn't purely luck based. I know that it's great and all for people who win the first try but face it: most of us don't. Nobody should spend hundreds of dollars on a game without getting anything in return. It should be every 50 (or something) crates opened someone wins.

And yeah. Think I'm done.

    then dont buy zp simple

No one forces you to buy ZP. Although I do agree with on some points, Z8 runs CF NA, not us. They can do w/e they want (well almost everything), and we can't do a single sh1t about it.

    /request close
  • when i ask for vip weapon for 1 round i found it hi dmg not like my gun but its ok coz they pay but my freind spended 150k gp to get r93 t2 and you know what.. he didnt
and yes gp crates dont give you what you want i got 32 crates opened it and then i found 2 cupons only
  • All about the money!!!

i dont spend money the real money i only spend gp
  • It has to be random in any way.

Because if you request for a "buy 50 crates for at least you can win something in compensation for the money spent", then we all (or most of us, cause you increased the winning rate with your suggestion, supposedly) just would have to buy 50 or more crates for assure to win something there.

By the other hand, I think the amount of GP you win in a ZP crate is decent, since you have the chance of winning huge amounts of it also.
  • I fully agree with the majority of what you have to say on this topic. Though I don't find getting GP in a ZP crate to be all that bad, as that's the main source of income for ZP spending players.

Even though I do agree with the chances being too low on crates, I'm gonna be that guy and do this: http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=39663

And not to be rude, but that is literally what the people who run this game likely think. That's why a lottery system works so well for a game like this. You CAN win an item in as little as one crate, though your statistical odds in the ZP market are 1/100 at best, and 1/300 I'd estimate for the GP market.

An example. I spun about 500 Aluminum Bat Crates. Never won it, only saw it on the wheel three times. That is the reason I don't play the ZP BM anymore. Got enough GP to spin on some of the GP BM when I feel like it.

I really feel that for every ten crates you buy, you should have a slight increase on the chances of winning. And after getting a couple hundred crates, you chances of winning would then increase to a reasonable level, where you will most likely get your item, and not feel so ripped off. Chances then reset to normal levels after each item won. That'd be a fair way to run the BM in my personal opinion.
  • It's funny how this game is 'Free2Play'

If you don't have one of those VIPs or M14EBRs you won't be able to stand a chance against these Turks with their items.
    Thank god that UK5 exists.

Right? So weird that a corporation would be interested in making money. How dare they!

    Yo U Right THo' xD
  • Free2play games will always have things to get their customers to using your money of their game or else cf wouldn't be alive. Making weapons a little bit stronger and cooler are going to get you to buy their items. Earning money is how business works.

I'm sorry to bother you , but if you were born rich with money in your pocket is normal for you to be cheap or if you're a kid and your parents give you enough money that you can buy all weapons to the game... this situation seems to you that is cheap :)

    ffs he was just sarcastic
  • YOu have to face the fact that you shouldn´t be playing most F2P games if you´re not going to spend money (I´m being serious), simply because the whole point in the games being free is that the corporation wants to make money buy ingame purchases --> ZP

The only variable here is the value of your money, which is, admitedly, ridiculously low for most of us, while others keep celebrating their wins while probably emptying their paypal or what ever payment method on a monthly basis. I´ve seen games with nice concepts, actually offering the CHANCE of getting nearly everything you´d ever wish (they ignored the pistols which were arguably useful except the deagle) to have without ever spending money, though with a chance that probably was below that of Cf (imagine ZP crates for lets say 15k GP each while not winning GP in ZP crates, that´s roughly the value).

A company running a game obviously wants to get money for their product at some point and that´s their way of getting it.

NOw seeing things from a paying players POV, I´m sitting between two chairs (as at least germans sometimes like to put it) as I´m obviously feeling screwed by the BM on a regular basis (4 guns in 1000€ +... only counting BM though) but the simple prospect of getting something awesome somehow gets me back to the gasstation (I´m not driving a car, hint taken?). It´s always lovely to see a new great tool of killing in your inventory, but a dumb one to see a spinning wheel eating up your money and throwing useless stuff at you, which is anything but a permanent win by now.

Now on the other hand, if we would have a guarantee to win something for a set amount of money (which would be an idea for BP btw), we would have those people who currently own let´s say 10 BM weapons walking across the field with about every single weapon that´s ever entered Blackmarket. The rarity value of any item other than any item but Katana Gold and M4 Gold Tiger would be basically gone and you would feel like "Oh well, 50 dollars gone, next item". I wouldn´t actually do that as a producer myself, even though being interested in increasing the players odds. You´ll always want to have a certain feeling of owning something special to your pay-guns, that´s the whole point at times.
