Random disconnects and frame rate spikes

1.Crossfire keeps automatically/randomly exiting to desktop, in lobby and in-game.Every 3 to 5 minutes.

2.Crossfire keeps having lag spikes when I'm playing it. My fps is usually around 200-220 but sometimes it goes down do 20-30 for a few seconds. I never had internet problems so it can't be from the internet and I never had frame rate spikes before.

same... since last week i cant play cf with this fps, mine went 15-20 fps from 80-120.

Yep. Uninstall this game and find something else to do with your time. That will take care of the problem.

Jokes apart... CF performance have been deteriorating steadily over the last couple of years. I ended up upgrading my computer twice to compensate for it. But now I have lost hope. Its probably not going to get any better now. Don't expect them to fix all the performance bugs that they created in the last couple of years to be fixed in a couple of days.

Even when the game is becoming unplayable, Z8 is only mostly focused on adding more maps, skins, mods that only degrades the performance.

Here is a few things you can try to increase FPS:
1. Set the configuration to lowest possible setting. Like 800x600, not bullet trail, bullet smoke, blood etc...
2. There is some threads on replacing the 3 MB font file with a smaller true type font
3. Disable "save replay" option in configuration menu (makes a big difference)
4. Use game booster to kill all unwanted applications and services
5. Use something like MSI afterburner to overclock your graphics card (do this only if you know what you are doing)
6. Go to windows setting and disable all high end functions like aero menus etc...
7. If your anti virus/firewall have a game mod set that on
8. Def rag your hard disk
9. Restart machine often
10. Dont run team speak or xfire or fraps with the game
11. use a wired connection
12. for a temporary improvement, while in game stop moving for sometime and face outwards from the map.
13. Keep al your drivers up to date (use "Drive Booster")

If nothing works, don't expect any magic. Just stop playing till they fix it.

Idk why some people doesn't work but every single game i join I have to alt and tab gay
