My Official Goodbye Thread.
I know its kind of pointless to some people to do a goodbye thread, but I wanted to thank people and reflect on the chunk of of my life I spent here.
Just a quick disclaimer before I start:
No, I am not done with everything CF related. I will run NESL CF as long as its here.
I will still conduct NESL forum posting, other than that I will not be posting.
I will only be in game for casting / streaming purposes, I will not be playing any longer.
Now for the thick of it. the first thing I wanted to do is give a shout out to all teams big or small I was a part of as they all impacted me in one way or another.
Slayers (2009)
Sanitarium (2010)
OES (2010)
Avenged (2010)
Synical (2011)
Absolution (2011)
Kindred (2011)
Team.Os (2011)
Btk (2011)
Canadaforces (2012)
Aftermath (2012)
Affliction (2012)
Fragbots (2013)
RTB (2013)
Intrepid (2014)
eFrag (2014)
Adrenalize (2014)
Undaunted (2012-2014)
The next thing I wanted to do is go through and give some personal shout outs to people who really impacted me during my time with Crossfire.
Sanitarium (Clan): You guys were the first group I really played with. Even though I was one of the youngest players in that clan during my time there, I definitely learned a lot and looked up to you guys. Even though we had some falling outs I still had a hell of time with you guys, and yes I will always be the SnT Sweater Knitter.
OES Spindle: Probably the kindest clan leader I ever had. Taught me a lot about just being a good person. Don't know where you are now, but hope you are doing well man.
The LTs / Vapor (Synical): You guys were some of my best memories from my pub clan years. I had great times talking to all of you. It sucks it had to end with everyone leaving, but it was a great clan to hang with for a few years.
Team ZZ: Great Guys. You know who you are. 2011 Fun times.
Smokey / Smokedog (Malik): You were one of the few people who stood with me when we went from Pubbing to competitive, and for that Ill always be grateful. We had some great times together, and Ill miss hanging with you in CF.
Hero (Usman): Another one of the original Undaunted members. Even though I gave you a lot of crap sometimes, you were a fun guy to play with. Ill never forget the night you sang Alicia keys and after that we made you do it before every match . Best of luck to you man.
Delaco (Jordan): I don't know where to begin with this one. You helped me more than most players would ever be willing to do. You joined up with us, coached us, helped me afford to go to FG Lan, let me stay at your place, and were just an overall great guy to meet and get to know over the years. Good luck Taco.
Drel: Even though we played against each other for some time I didn't really get to know you until this past year. Never afraid to speak your mind and just be you. Glad to see you got a plan in life and you are on the right track to meeting your goals.
Juan: Even though we only had brief experiences on teams together, you always had a good time and were a fun guy to play with. Good luck in whatever you do, and keep your sense of humor.
Reid: Even though we never got to make XTS happen how we planned, I enjoy the times we played together from pub star days all the way up to this year. You definitely challenged me to think more than most players, and opened my mind to new ways of thinking.
Thornz (Jordan): Hard to describe how exactly we met, but we are good friends now. I'll probably always remember how you blew up on drel, but it won't change the fact that I always enjoy gaming with you in whatever we play. Its been nice to see how you have changed since we met.
Cwiller (Charlie): When I first picked you up for Undaunted, I had no clue how talented you really were. Over the past 2 years you have become such a strong player. On top of that you would always keep the mood of the team in tact. Thanks for all of the times you said "He can't even bench the womens bar", and good luck man.
As for those I didn't mention, I am sure you all played a roll just as important to me in my time here, these are just some of the people who stood out to me that I felt I needed to mention.
A few other things before I go though
Over the past years, Its been quite a ride working with all of these leagues and seeing what they can do for Crossfire.
To those of you who never volunteered or helped with a league, you should. No matter what the game, its definitely a valuable experience, especially if you are interested in working in eSports. To the others who have helped with leagues over the years, I really do appreciate what you have done for the community, yes even you Purvis.
To those who bashed me over the things I did with my work for CF I'd like to say a few things.
Most of the leagues I decided to work with were jobs I knew many others wouldn't take or would walk away from easily. My goal was to work with these projects who had limited resources and try and bring you all the best experience I could. Even though I faltered at times as I learned how to be a better Admin, I never once threw in the towel on this community. I always worked hard to try and make it the best I could with the resources I had. I hope you look at every admin this way. None of them have to work with crossfire, or bring you prized leagues, but because they are willing to volunteer and put in hours you guys have got some nice leagues over the years. So the next time you bash an admin in a league, think about how much they actually do for the community, and what it would be like if those people hadn't done anything at all.
Shout out to all projects I worked on / with:
NESL
OCG
CGL
vVv Gaming
CFL
CCL
The Handshake Cups
All I have left to say is thank you. Whether you were my friend, a troll, or someone who I played with briefly. I am sure you all impacted my life in some way or another.
Its been great guys. Looking forward to continuing with NESL the remainder of time with Crossfire, and I hope to meet some of you again later on in life.
Good luck to you all, and I wish each and everyone of you nothing but the best.
Undaunted will no longer be attempting to turn tables in Crossfire.
Thanks friends, Kyle "Zzxq" Vognsen

See ya man, lots of legends leaving recently -

There are 2 parts to this post.
Firstly, I can easily say this is one of my best friends. Even though I quit 3months before this goon, I can honestly say he's easily one of the biggest impacts on my life. That, and the little **** owes me an invite to his wedding and enough cheesecake to feed me AND his fiance. #BlowinMoney
Secondly, there will be the revive of undaunted 2015. Just wait. #YearOfTheTableTurners. Sweggggg. -
