Maybe you should look at your own forum name. Have a nice day.

I would hate to be a Gorilla Named Speak_Truth.
  • LOL don't worry little baby I never once said I was going to dispute you and guess what I'm in the playoffs so yeah....

You can stop pointing fingers now little baby. It's gonna be ok.

You're completely flustered. Stop posting already, and I'm sure more than half of the community would appreciate that, too.

I never understood how racism is supposed to be funny.

Tony is really dumb a lot of the time, but posting racist comments is stupid on an entirely different level.

I think it's stupid a competitive FPS in 2014 doesn't have Shadows by default and you need a third party tool to enable them. But I said shadows wouldn't be allowed in future events because not everyone was willing to download third party software to enable them. This was the only way to ensure a fair playing field. I had somebody download the video for me, and once I get home to my PC, I'll watch it. If logic used shadows, then he will be disqualified from this match, and the match will be overturned.

Sorry but it was clearly posted that we do not allow shadows, I made a post stating what we allow and what we do not allow, and Polleus specifically stated that shadows were banned from future events.

Edited the post to change my wording from disqualified from the event to disqualified from the match. Essentially we would only be overturning any rounds in which the shadows were used, ie.) The whole match, same as a disallowed gun.

You do not have to download anything, its as simple as adding a 0 to a text file, and I am sure that every single competitive player knows how to do it. Hell, even most pub players know as well.

    good luck tho

Notepad counts as a third party tool?

I guess he'll taste what it's like to get dqed, since that's what he does to others most the time (but his team definitely shouldn't suffer for it though) Shadows didn't benefit him in this match in any way, and he played really well. Welfare doesn't deserve this win, especially if that means Ace is out? The match should be replayed so that welfare can get 10-1'd again. You should probably think about what's fair overall for everyone. I'm not biased at all since I don't even like Logic, Tony's just trying to cause trouble.
  • especially if that means Ace is out?

    It's a double elimination event.

Ahh, well I guess that means everyone's happy since Ace will be vulnerable and out if they lose 1 match. I still don't think they should be dqed.

It's no different than when there was a match overturned for a room dispute (it was a 16 man room with observer spots, not a 10 man room), or the 1,001 other incredibly stupid disputes that people get away with.

I think that it's dumb, but if you're going to enforce these types of rules on any team, then you have to enforce them on all teams. And, since they have enforced these rules, then they must enforce them now. Must being in the obligatory sense.

this resulted in a replay not a dq

that's because the score was 11-10 in favor of pathos

the error in the room creation deducted 1 point from pathos

thus making the final score 10-10

thus requiring a replay of the match

in your case, you had shadows every round, and the score was 10-1

using that logic, the score will be 1-0******* in favor of welfare

    nice frags nonetheless

using that logic it would be 1-0 in favor of welfare

which wouldnt be first to 10
  • Noob shadows are not allowed. Your ticket is dated for 3/24/2014. There was an update 5/17/2014. Dq'ed. You are so cool

u arent even that good though, but congratz on playoffs
  • 1- If Kanata is DQ'd it will be VERY disappointing seeing a team as below average as Welfare making it to last 4.
2- You don't need a 3rd party software to enable shadows in game, how about you lazy mods make a guide on how to enable shadows without using 3rd party? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyaotAfUQpY&list=UUMX9BLilK_nD8u0m1vK1N4A)
3- In the case that Kanata DOES get eliminated and a sub par team such as welfare advances, If I'm not wrong Kanata can still qualify for CFSQ via ESL? (Unsure)
4- I hope Welfare doesn't dispute. That'd be scummy, but then again, if they dispute for "wrong room name," then they will dispute for shadows.

I feel bad for you Michael, but good luck though.

    Just a curious thought.

Would this discussion be different if it was better team in this situation? Lets say Ace was playing against !instinct. Would this make a difference due to the skill levels?
  • Shadows should be allowed just like in csgo. It's not an "unfair advantage" lmao
  • ocwADAM wrote: »

Polleus stated that not having all players having access to shadows would be unfair. It would be completely fine if all the player had easy access to adding shadows.

Yes there are several ways to use shadows in CF but there are still some players that cant do it.

!ns wouldn't have disputed, so no.
On that topic, isn't there some 24-hour rule for disputes? So technically WelFare can't dispute anymore right?

is opening a notepad that hard wtf
  • Regardless of the access to shadows, it stands that our LATEST ruling in May of this year stated that shadows aren't allowed. We will most likely adjust this in future events, knowing that really is that easy to enable shadows. As for now, this is how it's going to be. Mike already commented on it.

Ace Gaming is not disqualified. The match is overturned. Ace Gaming falls to the Loser's Bracket, they are not eliminated from the event.
