Noob question about SPOP

I just bought SPOP and it hasn't worked, I'm still SAS! I bought it again to make sure and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated!

You have to go to storage and then go to character and equip the spop.

I have encountered this problem before.

You have to go to storage, equip the SPOP, and then click "Save character" or "select character" or something. Then it stays, otherwise it will change back to your formal character.
