Here is the solution for latest xtrap error

XTRAP Error 05-0400-00000000-533

If you're using Kaspersky Internet Security then turn off protection and after reboot your computer. Remember that the protection must not turn on after rebooting. Probably same thing to do with any other anti-virus.

Launch CF and happy playing ;) ...and also let me know here if i helped somehow.

PS. i hope it works for all of you, not only me! also thank me for trying out many ways to fix it and for sharing it.

How many people has it worked for?

Also, do i just untick the ''lauch kaspersky at computer startup'' box in [general] settings, then exit kaspersky, then restart?
Cos your instructions are not comprehensive. Or maybe im just slow...

I don't know for how many it worked, but for me it always does.

Yes, you can probably do this one too, but it's easier to just turn off protection, reboot and play CF...after you simply press "resume protection" and you don't have to disable/enable the whole app on startup.

And my instructions? aren't they very easy to understand if you have the Kaspersky at least? pffff...right click on kaspersky icon on task bar (this one on your lower right screen) and choose from the list "disable protection" then from the 3 options choose the last (disable), reboot your computer and launch CF. When you're done playing CF you can do same and press "resume protection"

Yh sorry about that I'm a bit sluggish today.

Anyway you're awesome, because it worked! And I finally played for the first time in 7 days! And I also won AK camo, my first BM gun ever today, which is also somewhat thanks to you :D

    Wooohoo thanks dude!

Btw, what's your ign? I'm currently lacking cf friends (suspiciously their pc's are broken), and you seem like a decent guy.

    My IGN: G[*O*]D_
  • IGN: iIllusiveMan (iillusiveman)

Had a loong CF friend list, deleted most as they stopped playing ^_^ now i am mostly playing alone, rarly with my not only ingame friend.

However such things should go to private messages, the thread is for the xtrap issue
  • I don't get that error anymore but I still can't play,is this have anything to do with "Send Crossfire Error" or no ? !

    Thanks

What error exactly are you experiencing? "Send Crossfire Error" is when you have an error, it should at least show you any error code

It doesn't show me any type of code, when I try to enter a game Cf closes and says Crossfire error and under it send error report...

Sorry if I didn't explain much of it.

    It's okay ;)

Sadly i have no idea what might cause this error yet ;/

Right click on desktop, select properties. Go to the Settings tab and click advanced. Go to the troubleshoot tab and make sure that slider is above midway.
Anything below midway on that slider will cause that 'send error report' .
This is one solution. Will not apply to all.
Still looking at other possible causes.

Just realized this was zombified. So, create a new thread if the problem is still apparent.
