The PROVEN way to fix X-trap error 05-0400-00000000-533

Well I didn't believe the anti-virus software was causing this error until today, when I completely uninstalled Kaspersky. I suppose if you run other anti-virus softwares, just UNINSTALL them instead of pausing protection. Pausing protection WON'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM. Just uninstall it! And restart, there you can play again.

An alternative (better) way is locking the folder of your anti-virus software under "Program Files" using some third party lock-folder software, so next time you restart your computer the anti-virus software won't load at all, in which case you can play CF again. After you are done playing CF, just unlock that folder and the anti-virus software is ready to go.

P.S. This is going to be my last post, since I won't be playing CF again. Today after fixing this x-trap error, I played for 3 hours, in which every damn minute I encounter at least 1 aimbot hacker. LMFAO I just fix the x-trap sh*t now I have to bear this? FK CF,z8, and especially x-trap, and FK this game forever LOL.

  • Please don't tell people to remove a safeguard from there system, next you will be telling them to disable UAC, Turn off Firewall, Turn on DMZ etc.... Your asking for trouble completely removing anti virus on a windows system. The Original post should be deleted, could put peoples PC's in danger.

Instead what the OP should be suggesting is whitelisting/excluding the crossfire and xtrap folders in your anti virus settings, just google search Your antivirus with the keywords like add exclusion or whitelist folders.

    Can only approve this.
Never totally deactivate your anti-virus ( same as uninstalling in it's help protecting the system ), for a game, even more when there are so many hackers out there, so there is no reason why this detection error should be "ok".
(I've the error, NO exception add doesn't help here; it's ****ed up by x-fire detecting "a ghost" since the last update, called your anti virus.)
