steelseries sensei or intellimouse?

i have always used a sensei, at the moment i am looking for something new to use. what are your thoughts on mice for fps gaming? what are your opinions? also, what is the difference between a steelseries mouse pad (the soft ones) compared to a hard top mouse pad made by razer
