My part for Ghost Mode

Hello fellow Crossfire players today i will address a major issue within the Ghost Mode community. This issue is that Ghost Mode is being heavily underlooked by Z8 games. Over the past few years Ghost Mode has taken a turn for the worst as there has been a decline in people playing ghost mode as well as the amount of support going into keeping the competative scene alive. I know there have been events that have tried to revive the competative Ghost Mode "League", from this we have seen March of the Ghosts, OCG tournament in 2012, as well as many Ghost Mode weekend events that boost the the modes popularity temporarily. Sadly these events have not succeeded in giving Ghost Mode the fuel it needs to thrive again. I am very sad to see the Ghost Mode community dieing slowly. When i first started this game i started off with SND but i was getting bored of that mode as i didnt have much interest in it as well as i didnt excell very well, so i looked to another mode, Ghost Mode. I loved this mode the mechanics, the maps, the weapons, the play style everything was amazing. I got into GM heavly i was always looking to learn new things, play with new people, and most of all play competitively. I have participated in at least 3 tournaments, played in many Foxtrot 5 GM Pugs, as well as all of OCG's weekend pugs which was the best support (in my opinion) for Ghost Mode as it provided a competative scene as well as prizes for the winning team. Ive gotten to know some of the best Ghost Mode players ive ever seen as well as the nicest players, the Ghost Mode community is the best and cant be replaced with the SND community ( no offence ). I would hate to see Ghost Mode die completely. Recently my fear is becoming a reality. I see little to no Ghost Mode games in servers as well as almost a complete stop of GM Pugs as well as maybe 1 or 2 GM clan wars. I realize that there still are Ghost Mode clans that love GM as well as the community but ive seen too many people too scared or saying they dont feel like entering the competitive scene, i understand you dont feel the same as i do but at least give competitive a try to keep the community alive. A lot of the Pro GM players have already moved on to other games or other versions of CF and im not to sure if they are coming back or not. So it seems its up to us to step up and take the stand.

I am going to give all my time and all my efforts to try to keep gm alive. I have already seen a few Ghost Mode players try to help the GM community and im going to join them. I am going to start trying to start as many Pugs or competitive rooms as possible, as well as try to encourage more players to join us. I will be creating a youtube channel to post Scrims so people can view them as well as i might try to start doing live streams weekly of scrims between teams.

-I hope to revive the GM community or at least get it going again as well as raise interest in the mode to new players or players thinking of joining this mode

Man I wish GM was more active. I remember like 3 years ago it being a great mode to play with many teams wanting to CW or scrim.

Now with hackers and bogus weapons that players use, its very difficult for GM player and teams to do anything productive.

On top of the there are 2 sides of GM that cant agree with a general rule set.

Well how I see it is there's the GOOD gm players who can use an all go ruleset w/o bd and there's the other TRASH gm players who can live without their kukris and vips, I hope that they can all use the gp ruleset for at least one game

all what Ghost mode need is
-tournament from Z8games every 3 months maybe..
-march of ghosts tournament come back again
-and maybe some tools to make the GR playable with sprayers in the room [ i dont support this idea tbh xD ]
- knife with gp or something...

Things that need to change
-Difficulty of getting into the mode because of how hard it is to get a good BL weapon permanently.

-Dodging/Light-tricking. Stop worrying about 1 loss on your clan page :P

-Clans with 20+ active members. Split them up and make teams of 5-10.

-the most obvious one, rez modding/macrohopping or any form of cheating.

Can't really ask Z8 to hold a tournament with huge prizes at this point for a mode so dead since I doubt that many people would even sign up. Look at [MOD]Andrew's tourney, only 1 team signed up. What's your ign

Gonna try to get the clans to split apart i know for sure i am going to try to keep a team of 5 for a while and see if other clans will split as well.

I used to love gm..but the hackers make it impossible to play black list at all...so it got boring just playing gr side

Fix all the devastating bugs for that mode, introduce Kukri-Shattered Crystal to FP Mall. Done.

Yeah yeah I know, Kukri-Crystal in FP Mall whatever it will entice a lot more people to join since then they would actually have a chance of surviving, not breaking the bank with ZP and it's not as deadly as the standard Kurkri. No, Knife-Elite/Knight would not really help get people joining apart from boosting the competitive scene.

Then BL only need to endure and deal with the luck factor that GR have over BL compared to any other mode in the game.

99% of the people who even cared about gm are gone. is a new knife supposed to make snd players want to play gm? naw. is a new knife going to get the new players interested in playing BL against a bunch of egy hackers? naw. i say RIP. ill be joining the rq train soon enough

This is the best time we have Andrew whos a mod and who supports GM JudgeSim is trying to get a stronger knife we got the NA vs LA tourny why not now? all the big guys were on today playing maybe come fox 5 sometime

I don't see the new Knife changing anything in the current state of GM.

While 99% of the players that care is gone might be an exaggeration, it doesn't change the fact that the majority of the players that would utilize such a knife has left. Introducing that knife will still not change anything because the majority of players that play GM does not play or have the same mindset of competitive GM players. A mere knife isn't going to change the new majority because all of these players started playing GM in a scene where the competitive level had already dwindled to a extremely small minority. Can the knife bring competitive players? Yes, but the majority will still be those that uses strong melees, vips, and shotguns.

The key to bringing back competitive GM is to have continuous tournaments like the SND scene. Continuous tournaments usually stick to one specific rule set with perhaps a few minor changes throughout the year. As long as the prize is appealing enough, teams will definitely start forming to practice with the require rule set.

Ask z8 to sponsor monthly GM tournament with a zp price of 250k per tournament, and we will probably start seeing competitive gm.

As for the rule set, i am a player that came from a era of Axes and m4a1 silvers. I find that rule-set to be the most balance. Rarely any players will ever be dedicated enough to practice with a knife for Bl. The few i knew were players like [N]ight and -bback.

Best time? LOL. Yeah this is most def the BEST time for doing anything GM related. (sarcasm)

And why not now? Uhh... because no one plays? lol Almost all of the NA players who are a part of the All Stars GM thing don't even play GM, let alone CF. And they will continue to not play after sunday (im guessing)

The amount of hacks and the skill difference between the current pub players creates a barrier to entry for anyone willing to learn Ghost mode. Many people criticize pub clans with some even ridiculing them for their usage of vips, shotguns, and strong melees. But it doesn't change the fact that they make up a large majority of the current ghostmode players and are adept at the usage of such weapons, and are decent at pping.

These combined factors are more than enough to cause new players to lose motivation for taking up GM.

GM has more chance at reviving itself by working with the current majority than to try and create incentives for new players.

about the GM in UK... i can still see alot of nice players playing Ghost Mode but not like before lol...GM in UK is not that bad xD but there is no CW or competitive between gm clans i guess.. the good players dont like to cw only stay in public and play for fun..we want tournament from z8games... why dont we talk to all mods other than andrew and maybe they talk to Juicebox and he maybe make some nice event or something cool about the GM..

I said GM is dead because i wanted to share my opinion. I have helped. Ive spent hours, probably days total, trying to help it. I dont recognize your forum name so Ill assume i dont know you. And assuming that, where tf were you when we were trying to revive it months ago? why wait until GM IS DEAD to start doign something about. again, assuming i dont know you, why did you sit on your ass and let it die? GM IS DEAD. you want good gm games? go play cfal or send friends zp to get them to come play with you. assuming youre someone i know who has tried to help in the past: cut your losses

Ive been playing gm for a while been helping for a while just trying harder now before I would just show up and play this time I'm going a bit further and if you wanna help out now come fox 5... We had a good one today recorded and everything was a good match

2 different types of GhostMode room: A- Room of Tryhards --- & --- B- Room of Nabs
LET MAKE IT CLEAR: these rules are basically ***2 different modes of GhostMode*** pretty much like Snipe, Headshot, Pistol, and Knife Modes in TeamDeathMatch Mode.

Both Rooms Rules :
1- No hacks, wall, glitch, any type of cheating (support by z8games)
2- Since this is Crossfire NORTH AMERICA so everyone with ping of 130+ will be banned from GhostMode (even better for all modes in this hacking game)
3- NO ZombieMode MGs, no shotguns with 1shot-kill (NO ZP shotgun + ksg)


Rules of Room A - GhostMode Tryhard Room
1- GR = GP Weapons + GP Char + Speed Defuse + extra mag
2- BL = Axe, kris, gloves, and knife + No BreathDown + No StepDown + Speed Plant
3- All GR and BL ARE NOT allowed to use ARMOR

Rules of Room B - GhostMode Nabs Room
1- GR = all *GP BlackMarket* guns, all silent guns + VIPs (for VIPs users to use since they paid for those gay guns) + GP guns + GP Char + Speed Defuse + extra mag + Speed Defuse

what do u mean? -__- I have a VIP and I guess most GMers now a day have a least 1 VIP. Mike (Ign: Instagram?) has like 4-5 and same for Blind so idk. Most people like using VIPs now so -.- plus if no VIPs are allowed, z8games would go bankrupt the next day anyway
