Cannot find file needed for patch
I GOT A FIX FOR IT (no guarantees)
Go to your CrossFire Directory/rez then, take the file RF017.REZ and drag it out somewhere.
if it doesn't work, unistall and download again http://crossfire.z8games.com/downloadS2.aspx , remove the same file, and it should work!

Well, I find a way, but it is still a pain in the ass so it's gonna take a while. I noticed that it downloads a bit (like 1-2 MB) before giving error, so every time it errors, press OK and start CF again. Been doing this for 30 mins now, will give you results, currently at 34 CF relaunches.
Edit: Does not work, will stay at 100% and give "Cannot find file needed for patch" -

Go to your CrossFire folder (where you install it), and go to the folder name "Rez". then look for file named RF017.REZ, and drag it into the CrossFire folder (main folder). The patcher should then auto download the file when you launch CrossFire again.andrewisadic wrote: »how do u drag it out?
You can open 2 folders by opening my Computer twice, one of them as the "Rez" folder and other as "CrossFire". Hold the RF017.REZ file and drag into CrossFire folder.
Also, you could right click the RF017.REZ file, click cut, then go to CrossFire folder and right click and paste!
