Well i got to admit, americas not far from this. Millions homeless and on welfare. We are the lucky ones who have a nice place to stay and a computer to use. We have enough time to play games while millions of americans work their butts doing jobs we could never imagine. But they obviously chose to video the absolute worst places in america. Welfare isn't a liability, it's security for the people in a well-developed country.
Though the American system doesn't impress me, saying it's BAD to be on welfare isn't necessarily true, unless it's voluntary despite available occupations.

Saying its GOOD to be on welfare isn't necessarily true. I dont think being on welfare is necessarily a good thing. Yes it was created to help people in need, but being on welfare means you've lost your job, low annual income, etc. Which im pretty sure is something people don't want.

Hah, no it's not good either.
It's good that there IS welfare, and it's not BAD that people (can) use it.
Most people prefer to not be on it of course, and those who prefer to be on it shouldn't be allowed anything (save for sick/impaired people, obviously).

The alternative is certainly bad.
