Ping Problems?

Hey, I live in Australia and like to play FPS games like Counter Strike: Global offensive and Day of Defeat: source. So when I discovered CrossFire I downloaded it and started to play. But I looked at my ping and it was sitting at 256 to 300. And in any other FPS game I play, My ping sits at 20 to 30 maximum. Is there anyway I can get better connection in CrossFire? I just want to be able to shoot someone in the head and have it respond quickly, not 2 seconds after I have died from the person I just shot. So if you have a fix for this please let me know. thanks :P

Uhm... Cross Fire does not have an Oceanic Server which is why you're lagging from 250-300 ping. But, there are people who are playing in the N.A. West Server who are from Oceanic servers and get below 250 at least. And some of them uses WTFast, but I don't think it's much help, and they get 200's to 230's
