Mic stopped working/10k zp if you help me fix it

Just chilling there. All of the sudden my ****ing microphone stops working. I used a sound card. I tried everything I could think of. Switched to the on board sound. Reinstalled windows as well. Not working.

Headset: Sennheiser PC360.

If you help me fix the microphone I'll buy you 10k zp/$10 paypal.

I'm not 100% certain but I'm pretty sure it worked, I took a few hour break, came back and it didn't work.

Now that I'm thinking about it, the pc360s have a stupid ass mechanism where if you put the mic up, it mutes it. hmmmm

Bro u can buy a really cheap one off amazon or craigslist. For around, $10-20. I got my turtle beach headset for cheap and its good af. If this helped out at all, i hope i get that 10k for a name change

try to soak it in a bucket of HCl i heard that helps. if that doesn't help add some NaOH. what this will do is it will produce water and a salt which might just help fix your problem.

I have had that happen to me before. But there is a way to fix it.

What happened was the covering of the mic got seriously clogged and stuffed. Pretty gross.

Just get some acetone (nail polish remover) and apply liberally to the mic. In fact it would be better to just dip the mic into the fluid and hold it there for a while (like.. use it as a little stirrer).
And don't worry about it messing up the electronics - it is basically a liquid plastic so it won't muck up your electronics like water would.

Maybe but a $10 labtec mic would.

You got a few options:
1) warranty it back to sennheiser and they will replace it or give you a new headset all together
2) open up the cans and fix it yourself
3) buy a replacement mic
