Crossfire Doesn't Get Past Patcher_CF

Hey Z8 community, Quick problem here, hopin' someone can clear it up


Allright, So right after crossfire switches from Gameguard to Xtrap, Crossfire hasn't cooperated with me, 99% of the time whenever i open the g4box (The screen where it shows the patch updated) and click "Start Game", The g4box goes away and then everything stops, I sit here and wait for crossfire to open, but nothing happens. So i go and check my task manager (Ctl+Alt+Del) and it shows "Patcher_CF". I figure, allright, maybe its just a fluke? After half an hour of trying everything (Restarting Comp, Re-installing, turning off Mcafee) nothing has happened. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Sorry for the doublepost. I know several people who are having this problem, any help?

I have the same problem! If i press "start" the patcher pops up and after 1 second its closed... please help!

Did you tryed closing all the programs, reinstalling and stuff?

ps.: sileader, I am mtspeakline. Long time we dont meet...eh?

yes i tryed reinstalling redownloading and closing all programms, turning off the firewall..

This happens to me on my laptop and i have no idea what it is, sorry.

Yes, it has been a while, Its loop btw,

I've tryed literally everything

*Reinstalled (6 times, going on 7 now)
*Turned off all programs
*Restarted computer
*Turned Mcafee off

And nothing at all has worked =\

Im running windows XP, this seemed to of happened overnight one day, It was working perfectly and then it just stops

Try using gamebooster, maybe it closes something that is blocking thew xtrap.

Hm... No its the same. First it patches till 1038 i think and then it closes and after i press start again it closes after 1 second.

And to both of you should try cleaning up Computer like CCLeaner, scanning your computer for malwares and trying gamebooster.

Well, if you dont mind you could reinstall windows xp...But Idk eh.
OBS.:
Reinstalling windows XP may make some data loss!
So backup your most necessary archives/files first!

Put the windows xp disc on the CD drive. It can be vista, 7.
Reboot PC
It may appear PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE, do it.
Install XP following the steps given by the installation.

And the problem with SI Leader is not incompatibility, I already saw him many times playing with me....


Well, doing the XP installation may make your computer start from 0%...

1. mcaffee
2.avira

Theres no way im doing a cleansweep of XP just because xtrap fails
