The new graphic updates come to windows 8. People should leave w7 behind soon. Even I am doing it soon. If I am not waiting for w9. Heard it would be great since every second windows owns. Just like xp owned and vista sucked and w7 owned.

but switched back to 7

loved windows 8 for everything that wasnt gaming, but it crashed too much with csgo and would not let me alt tab in a lot of games

In my 6 months of playing GO I can only recall crashing once. And I can alt tab perfectly fine in any game I play (except for when I still played CF).

Maybe you should learn to optimize your computer better, Windows 8 is better than 7 and is actually a lot easier to use once you play around with it.

thanks for the top link btw, i went through the university store website and it's 70$ dollars for win 8, but on this, it says it's free for my university, confused

Another thing used to be called Microsoft Academic Alliance, where if you took certain classes you qualified for nearly every program made by microsoft.

I google'd it and they renamed it to dreamspeak. See if you qualify.

yeah that's the site it lead me to after i punched in my university, on the actual website for the school they charge you, but if you go through DS, there is over 200 software programs for free including win vista/7/8/8.1 and word suite/visio/access

Used to have Win7 for a long time. Upgraded to Win8 and on neither has CSGO ever crashed. If your CSGO crashes it's not Win8.

Performance-wise on video games I barely felt a change, but everything outside of video games runs somewhat smoother.
