Failed to connect

when i try to connect to crossfire before i get to login to log on i get a FAILED TO CONNECT TO SERVER ERROR. ive tried restarting my computer, reinstalling, and allowing on firewall and allowing compatibility with windows 8 can anyone please tell me if im the only one with issue? or how to fix it?
