Friend List Problems - How Much More?

See DarkSlade on my friend list? Offline. See him in the room? How about offline NOW? Wrong eh?



People are connected, and I can't see them. If they whisper me and I try to whisper back, it tells me whisper impossible. This have been here for quite a few months now, so I'm not even trying to ask to fix it as you don't seem to care bout this one. I'm just asking how much more time it will be here? Cause if you guys can't fix, i'll do it myself. Modify CrossFire's code. Because it's been more than 6 months. And I'm far from being the only one to have this problem. Now tell me something:

Are you EVER going to even NOTICE this? If you're not going to notice, can I repair it myself without crossfire yelling about modified files? I know C++ pretty good and shall be able to repair those random troubles if you don't want to. I just need to be sure that I won't be banned for "modifying files".

Note: I DID sent support tickets. I wonder why no one ever replied.

It happens to everone man, thats why most of us use other means of communicating such as x-fire, ventrillo etc.

You can be in vent with clan. You can be in MSN with one or two friend. But HELL, isn't the friend list DESIGNED for this? And if people got another means of communication (wich not always happens), it still doesn't means that some programmers might feel themselves lazy and make the player fix the bugs by their own.

i know this game has issues.
i know it's free (to play. pay to play better), and i try no to complain.
so i'll get in line and see what happens.

it would be nice to get all this fixed before added new features, though.

And this is not the only bug... Some of my friends and me, when we login the game it says that account is already in use... and when they look on clan window (in game) and friend window (in game) im not online...
Whats that? Its not happening only to me...

Lawl, maybe, maybe not ^^ Top secret info. But be sure, I CAN fix this programming out. And WILL do it if someone who's supposed to won't do this. Like suicyd said, it's a F2P game. But damn, how much time thix is present? More than 6 months, that is sure. I understand if they take a day. A week. Okay, even a month to figure it out. But six months, without anyone noticing, I don't see ANY excuses not to fix this.

And of course, our venerable GM don't even seem interested. Well, looks like people will have to fix the numerous bugs themselves. Thanks a lot GMs, we love you.

this happens to many other games too not only CF we had this problem back then in CA for like over a month or 2 me and my clan these are simple issues that happens and are oftenly and fastly fixed

p.s. it's not because the GMs and MODs do not write in your threads that they do not take a look at it + there is not 1000 of mods here compared to the high number of threads made each day in each section they can't look at it every time there is one that comes out... give them time and they will do what they have to do patience is a virtue

Ahem. Fastly? It's not been fixed for 6 months now. And yes, those ARE simple issues. And I just refuse to belive it can't be fixed because of incompetence. So I'd wish to know the reasons it takes so much time. And most of the games I played (All MMO actually) NEVER had this problem for more than an hour, if they ever had it. CF is the only game that requires me to delete everyone from friend list in order to whisper them. Might as well just remove the friend list, works same way.
