Why you should not go to the LAN
This is not a hate thread.
You should not go because:
A) its a dying game
the prizepool is trash.
If there is somehow 20 teams that will show up and you get 60% of the winnings, you will most likely not be able to cover the cost of the trip. Some will say "it is for experience, for fun". Think about it, this is a pay to play LAN, not invite. Pretty much anyone who has money to waste can go. The game is dying, it is not that much of an accomplishment. The fun you can get is the same as in an online tournament. Big whoop you get to meet your old time online friend, but do you not have friends irl? I am not trying to stop you all from going, just letting you know how pointless this LAN is.
Just waiting for my outdoor movie to start. Grammar and spelling errors should be expected.

And if the prize pool happens to not increase?
and for your pic that includes all CF Games even tho this prolly wouldnt happen what if more then 90% of that was from CF CN? and the other 10% includes all others cfs or maybe all of the other cfs made that ammount of money and are cf only madea small dent? its not a dieing game by all means but for are CF it sure almost looks like it -

Yes those figures were pulled from all of the CF versions and most likely a large sum came from China but that is not the point.
CFNA has been getting thrown under the rug compared to other versions. Look at CFAL. They have a larger player base than CFNA and a better competitive side too. BGL is a huge contributor to how well CFAL competitive is doing.
CFNA only relied on community ran events and WCG in the pass. In 2013 we had 1 LAN, WCG and CFS, which is alot more activity than we had before. Its now 2014, WCG is done but we still have season 2 and 3 for CFS plus 2 active leagues ESG and ESL giving out cash prizes.
So all of the haters can keep hating because CFNA isnt going to die anytime soon. If things keep going like they have been lately, old players will come back and new players will start to play. -

No it's not. You would tell me having a conversation on mumble is just as much fun as having a conversation 5 feet away from everyone you've talked to for years, eat some pizza, and have a laugh. Life is short, putting a few bucks to get some fun in your life is worth the effort.
Sure I have plenty of real life friends, but I log on mumble everyday. My friends online understand me the most, they can relate to me, and I probably spend more time talking to them than with real life friends. How can you possibly say you get the same amount of fun. It's a shame I can't go, I have the money but don't have the ability. -
Your definition of a dying game
Yes the prize pool sucks right now. The FG LAN was all from donations from community members, while this one is currently from registrations. Not to worry because the prize pool will increase soon.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
not even 1/4 of that goes to prizes

i don't understand why you posted this, it has nothing do with the current state of the game for this current version for this specific competitive community.
OT: another reason is SNSD lan is x10 better -

Still don't see much wrong with it. Game generates enough money to sustain itself, so it's not dying.
Community members have been saying that since 09. I've since then realised that people like Purvis are right. Sorry, CF isn't going anywhere. -
Game grosses 50% more than League of Legends
Game gets 2 new leagues within the span of a year, with actual anticheats.
Game has 2 international events a year, each with over 180,000 dollars in prize pool.
Compared to several years ago where there was 1 international event a year, no leagues, and no anticheat.
This game is dying, flee, flee for your lives. -

lets not forget the leagues are giving cash prizes rather than zp -

Yes I know that its not the correct term to use for the event but it was the best name to come up with.
