We have nothing on record regarding this CrossFire LAN. We monitor all phone calls and I can say we have NOT received a phone call regarding a confirmation of a CrossFire LAN from any user. This issue was brought to my attention by a user who emailed me.
Hmmmm, I have an email
"Hey Johnathon,
Been super busy lately with various things going on here at the store. Things are really starting to pick up for us! As for the event, everything looks great on our end. Our venue is your venue. We will have one of our staff members here to handle all the venue fees for you. I will be sure that the broadcasting equipment is up and running for you - we will have our producer here to help run the broadcast.
Let me know what you need from us in order to further your plans. I am CC'ing my co-worker Jason so that we can all stay on the same page moving forward.
I did get confirmation that we will have at least 40 PC's ready to go in time for the event.
You and your crew will be handling the brackets, schedule, reffing the matches, etc. correct? Everything on the website looks great from what I could tell.
If you need anything from us to help push this along be sure to let us know. Continue to send updates as you have them and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. I do remember that you wanted a couple pictures of the venue/layout. I will get a few sent over pretty soon. We will be using the main stage, and our islands for the matches. There will be 5 pc's on each row. This would allow for 4 matches to be playing at the same time. We would be able to allow more if absolutely needed.
Speak soon!
GLHF,
Everett"
Sorry that you didn't know. I think the issue might be that you're from another location. -

How can you call it a lan when everyone connects remotely to toronto servers -

I already know someone that is traveling from Las Vegas which is over 1800 miles away. I think many of the Canadian players (many in Toronto) can travel to Indianapolis. Now there is no way we can give all players and teams enough prizes to pay back their traveling cost, this isnt being ran by Smilegate. -

If not oh well we'll see how well this turns out I suppose
Better than nothing -
tB is talking about going, we might be interested if there is a decent prize there, chance to get sponsored there, etc. 2 of us our on the west coast though, and so getting might not be worth it if there isnt a decent size prize there.
Maybe talk to Saiden about this lan, see if he can give out some stuff there too? -

For FG LAN I know of a few people that live on the west coast that went to that. They took a greyhound and then carpooled across the border. Way cheaper than flying as long as you don't mind the bus ride. -

This.
Cost me less than 100$ to travel from Ontario to Alberta by bus. (Think like 60?)
Plane will cost me 700$ there and back without a hotel, food, etc.
Bus it. Just sleep, ezpz. -

Didn't think of this, will look into that. Probably will end up riding the bus if I go, I'm pretty broke.
Also, just have a $100 fee for each team, each player pays $20. Could add up if enough teams went. Would be nice to see z8games get involved with this lan and support it, don't know if they will though.
