How to take your first step into competitive
This is a repost of a thread made in CFAL forum. I tried translating/editing it the best I could. I think it will serve well here.
Finding a team
The first thing you need is a team. I recommend you start with a team of friends or a line coming from your current clan.
I also recommend that you avoid asking for jobs in top teams . It makes you burn and embarrassment, they will turn you down and get a bad impression of you.
The important thing now is to play. You need opportunities to play. Keep track of upcoming events like drafts, pugs, and tournaments.
When assembling your team, seek players with compatible schedules and like-minded (No use of thinking about growing in the scene when your team thinks different than you do.)
Training
Practice makes perfect. You will never be good without training . The more you train, the better you will be .
You do not need to train 10 hours a day to be good. The most important thing is to make the time you have render training with dedication. Do not focus on winning in practice / scrims . Focus on learning new things. Test positions, new flash/smoke ... don't care much if smaller teams win scrims. The biggest teams bind to win tournaments and drills only serve to train. Work your strats. Call the player who divided the bomb with you to position the crosshair crossing or where the two work together. Test to see which positions favoring each player. Do not loose the player in each position and twist to work.
Make tactical training. Look positions and tags before scrims. Go play in pubs in your free time. Do not focus only on just killing. See WHAT is missing you. Recoil bad? Train your spray. Reflection bad? Let the crosshairs stop and try to catch players passing. Mira bad? Open the pixel and work his striking distance . No use getting a good positions in Ship / Egypt. Here you just want to improve your aim.
Growing up in Competitive Scene
The first thing to remember is Respect to be Respected. Do not reject noncompetitive players or the more experienced players. Many players tend to "forget" that some have already been on the scene for a long time and have won a lot in the game.
Remember: swap lines is something that should be avoided , but not forgotten . If you reach a barrier that can not be passed otherwise , this may be the solution .
Go with your growing team. If your entire team follow the steps here (unless they are really bad) you will grow together. Maybe one of the other players needs to be changed if the team is stopped from growing and this player is not keeping pace.
If you are in the line of this guide and the rest of your team does not , conquer your name . Shown to be a good player . Complete for larger teams than their current job and fight for in a serious team ( forget the tops , you need to climb slowly ) .
You need to make your name. This is done playing solidly and consistently, always following the tactics of the team. Throw some mix in their free time , drafts ... show you here to stay !
Participating in tournaments
The top teams in the scenario are usually invited / notified in advance of the tournament. When you start , you will not have that chance. This is something that these teams won with much sweat. There are places to keep an eye on the news and try to enroll as quickly as possible to avoid getting out. Some of these places are :
1) The Competitive Forums
2) CF Official Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/crossfireonline
3) Announcements
So you stay inside of the biggest news. Leagues and there are still small tournaments.
Always respect the organizations, rules, admins and times . Install and learn to use the Anti-Cheats in advance. So you will have no problems when it comes to game time.
Try to avoid losing by not following the rules. Avoid creating problems (cry over silly thing as a use of spray on the floor of the base) because these attitudes will hinder chances for his team in the future .

tldr;
play in the tdm headshots
play ffa blackwidow no need to play an overload amount or else you'll hurt yourself.
don't be shy, EVER, and ask for a tryout for any team, you have to start somewhere
only type in f2 if necessary, typing a lot will direct a lot of bad first impressions(it's a lot here)
play a bit in the pubs as i said earlier, this raises awareness of your name since the # of players in e8 is so small -

Boom or...
- HS only TDM
- FFA
- Make sure you know all the competitive maps (at least the basics)
- Get a team
- Be coachable
- Make "contacts" in E8 to practice/ring and get your name out there
- Play in tournaments -

You do understand where that came from right? -

If you are going to post something like this, why would you post in a place where the majority of readers are already competitive or have been competitive at some point? You aren't going to reach anyone new here. You should be reaching out to other competitive players from other games, or non-competitive players from this game.
Making a post only here seems pretty pointless. -
Yeaaah post this in barracks or something. However, posting here for feedback isnt a bad idea.
Just remember we are all trolls...
thanks for this mighty guide
i am now a sponsered mlg pro and im banging 10/10 hot chicks every night due to my new razur sponsored swag

That explain's the abnormally high quality, makes sense that OP plagiarized the work.
I noted where it came from. I edited a few things and translated it the best I could.
This biggest issue is that people dont take the effort to make things work. This came from the CFAL and they have 100's of teams that play competitively.
